Decent blend and affordable. Arango's Balkan Supreme is my favorite.

Quite nice this very mild good morning smoke. Also was quite good value for a tinned tobacco last time I purchased it.

This is a favorite of mine. I actually get much more flavor from this blend than Dunhill London mixture. May I suggest a larger wider bowled pipe. This blend SINGS in my Castello paneled billiard which has a larger wider bowl. Smoking it now in a Savinelli Marte pipe wide but shallow bowl...still pretty flavorful. Keep up the great work

First pipe tobaccos I ever smoked! (4years ago.) Loved the smell, which I recall reminded me of smoked meats! I also remember thinking later that McLelland's Three Oaks Syrian had a similar taste.

schnerrydog I miss that blend. Both the three oaks blends were very good

Very similar to Peterson's Old Dublin and Peter Stokkybe's Balkan Supreme. They are all made in the same factory in Asens Denmark (Orlik). Cheers.

Ssssssesssseeeeeneeeee... Definitely a time-study blend, a lot of subtleties. Orientally and Turkishistic. Personally, I dig the stuff. Another killa review.

My overall preference is for English blends particularly those with a good deal of smoky Latakia in the forefront and perhaps punctuated with some perique and various orientals. I like my smoke to resemble a smoky campfire in the Yukon with a nice touch of spiciness. I should add that it took awhile for me to develop an appreciation for these types of blends and I will admit that when I first tried a strong English blend back when I first started smoking a pipe back in he 1970's I tended to favor the aromatics (as do many new pipers). Over the years II smoked a pipe on and off and as time went on my liking for Latakia's, orientals, etc. really grew on me to the point where nowadays I dislike most aromatics and I find it had to really enjoy a tobacco unless there is a rather strong essence of Latakia present. I really enjoy your reviews, I find them quite informative and I am considering trying several of the mixtures you have reviewed. In the future I might also recommend some tobbacos you may want to review. Mean while keep up the great work and, happy piping. :)

Hello Mr Bradley! Firstly I would like to say well done on producing some fine videos that have kept me highly entertained the past few months. Secondly I would like to ask whether or not you would be willing to try any Robert Lewis blends such as Tree Mixture or 123 Mixture? It would be a pleasure to get your take on these. Mike

I believe London Mixture actually has more Orientals. Basma I believe is what is used predominantly. Sobranie had more bright Virginia. I read an old Pease article on his creation of Westminster where he talks about Sobranie actually having more Virginia than London Mixture which has very little Virginia

Love this blend. I would respectfully like to request a review on Russ O's "Firestorm". I was turned on to the blend from the YTPC and would love to get your take on it (seeing as how we have the same taste with Dunhill Eliz being our EDS) and i have fallen in love with this newer blend. Thank you for your time. Happy piping, good Sir.

Joel Sasieni was an Italian Jew, who emigrated to England and went to work for Alfred Dunhill. After a few years, he started his own company. Interesting company history and the makers of some great pipes! Don't know how STG came up with the name for this tobacco. Supposedly Dr. Redstone, of the family that created Sobranie House, claimed that it was THE original formula for Balkan Sobranie. I seriously doubt that, but how are you going to prove it either right or wrong?

Personally, I like Balkan Sasieni because it's a mild Balkan blend that I can smoke when ever. Also, my local B&M normally has a good stock of it and rather cheap at my store. It's not my favorite Balkan blend, but it is one I normally have a tin laying around.

@ #ASKSTUFFANDTHINGS, I am waiting on your review of Seattle Pipe Clubs "Potlatch". I see that you have reviewed a couple of their tobaccos. Potlatch was my first blend from them(Seattle Pipe Club). I believe it has a lot of interesting aspects. I would almost compare it to Dunhills Nightcap, maybe a middle of the day version of NightCap...! So to finally get to my question, do you see yourself reviewing this blend anytime soon? To the video above, I completely get the needing a week to really get a feel for a tobacco. Your format for reveiwing these tobacco including your first impressions is extremely helpful, if nothing more than to give pipe smoker a reason not to judge too quickly. Bravo sir! I have almost bought this Sasieni many times just because it is so reasonalby priced on Smokingpipes.com. I'm sure i will try it in the near future.

The guy who runs my local B&M insists this is a rebranded Dunhill blend. I'll be damned if I know what blend that would be.

Hey Bradley, what are you going to smoke instead of Elizabethan Mixture when Dunhill ends? Are there any VaPers comparable?

I used to mix this blend with elizabethan before. Idk about u, but i like it better then just smoke sasieni by its own bcuz for me it is too mild almost like cup of coffee with too much milk. Anyways, wtf with that sa-sassieni though? xD

I don't know where to write this but in your official review videos, could you add the blend type and the component tobaccos to the list that shows in the screen?

And also I would like to see a grade. Something out of five for example. Or out of ten.

the fact i like this blend can be proven by how many empty tins i have kicking around for storing screws etc. it was my go to until you turned me on to gl pease. it still ranks in my top 10. off-topic trivia pursuit, who invented the sav corallo rustication design?
