Ball Shells Vs Canister Shells 

Ball Shells = Affordable Canister Shells = Preformance

I've used those shells in my other video and I will say I did like them. But they were also $21 for 6 or $84 for 24 where the Excaliburs are 24 for $60.

I had cutting edge festival balls and they were amazing, much louder than my megabanger exterminator canisters. They were crazy awesome they shouldn't have been called festival balls

I personally would go with the pro shells. Since you haven't used canister shells before, I can tell you that you won't be disappointed!

I love both those shells. If it's between those two, I would get whichever is cheaper. If they are same price, Excalibur has HDPE mortars which last a lot longer than the fiberglass mortars that come with Pro Shells.

Canister shells are amazing i use them really all over my shows, but there a some really good balls shells that i use for filler shells. I get all my fireworks at Wholesale Fireworks in Hubbard OH, love that place

canisters are defiantly the way to go, a lot of firework company's are doing away with the ball shells and going to a 1'' canister shell.

Depends, canister shells are better, but for the price of one canister shell, you can get many ball shells, which might be a better show, I honestly like both for different reasons. And besides, fireworks are fireworks😀

I always buy both ..more cannsiters then balls but theyre definently some GREEEAT loud breaking ball shells out there that can rival cannister shell breaks

I feel with canisters the break isn’t always in the direction you are facing so display wise it’s not there but with a ball shell you there’s consistency in the symmetrical break and a decent sound from the launch

I mixed two this year.. The canister was so much louder........ But they both were good for me . The only thing about the canister she'll it wasn't as strait when it went up but it still was worth it..

Nothing wrong with that at all. I love 200g cakes. If you look back at my stash videos, specially last year, I had a ton of 200g cakes!

I live in Oregon and travel to Washington for fireworks. I ran into Excalibur for the first time last year. (2013) and every year I have paid $60 for the package (total of 4 tubes and 24 shells) it is cheap and f.ing amazingly loud and a wide shot. I always buy a minimum of 2 boxes. And have ran into people buying a case (total of 6 boxes,144 shells and 24 tubes for around $275). Excalibur is totally worth the money. ANOTHER good box of shells; Black Mamba (same amount of tubes and shells. But tubes are fiber glass. Go for anywhere from $60-$70) they are very nice and loud. The only reason i say Excalibur is better is because of the tubes they come with. But u can always use the Black Mamba shells in the Excalibur tubes.

hey you forgot one of the most important perks of ball shells.....they're usually cheaper! and yes you do get a little more "bang" with cans, but if your going to use shells for finale sky puke, ball shells are a good option.

I work for Shelton Fireworks. I am a huge fan of our 60 gram shells.

I prefer canister shells but ball shells are smaller and since i live in a neighberhood i buy ball shells

They are pretty good for ball shells, but I got them for $17

I prefer canister over ball because they lift higher ... They're louder... And they have bigger breaks. So far my fave is the Kiss Of Death by Forward Fireworks. The Excals and Smoke n Mirrors come close ... But they can't top em. Big bang. Big lift. Big break. Sold! The ONLY shell that I've owned that I thought was louder was the Neon X by BIG, but the breaks were garbage!

I like the Black Mambas, Excals, Pros, Red Devils, DIABLOs, really anything i can get my hands on to fill my racks

I would like to get my hands on some of those bullet bombs. I go to wfboom, but I'm not really a fan of their ball shells. Showtime brand looks great!

I prefer canister shells, but there are some great ball shells like Goliath and American spirit

I personally used canister because of the intense sound the only problem is that the tube will fall over after shot bc of how strong they are i got canisters and a set that are bigger than ball shells like a oval the brand was called KickAss Kanisters on steriods

I Would do canister shells but I don’t have a high budget so I always go with ball shells since it’s a lot cheaper

Personally I'm a ball shell kinda guy. It's a traditional shell and it is extremely symmetrical yes. Though some cans are pretty symmetrical too I find. When Excalibur's break you wouldn't even know it was a can unless you knew better. That's another thing too I find the cans do hit harder but they're usually max load where as the ball shells are only like what 30-45g? From what I've seen cans have higher, bigger, and brighter breakers compared to a lot of balls but sometimes bigger isn't always better. Not only do they cost more but it's the difference between your neighbors feeling it and the entire block feeling it..

I do agree with you canister shells are better but I feel they are often much more expensive compared to ball she'll kits. I can usually get 6 she'll ball she'll kite for 4-5 dollars but canisters I feel tend to be a lot more like 10 for six and for Excaliburs are like 100 dollars. Just my opinion.

My dad made a gun that shot canister shells. One time it didn't come out, he ended up losing a finger, and the doctors considered him lucky. He was lucky enough that his thumb and middle finger weren't ripped off, and if the blow was higher he could have died. I was standing 10 or so feet away and burst an ear drum. I just want you guys to know what can happen when too close to canisters

at this very low scale, I would say there is little difference between the two. neither can show the potential they were designed for. furthermore the canister shell is probably just as much used, or more as a multi break.

here in texas the regular price for artillery shells for a 6 pack is about $9

I have always used ball shells but this year I think im going to buy canister shells. Im also buying them from BIG in the wholesale category. I can get 96 BIG pro shells for $200 but for $134 I can get 144 ball shells(cheap brand). What do you think I should get?

In terms of power in 1.4g it’s cans all the way but if we’re talking symmetry it’s ball shells all the way but in 1.3 it’s only ball shells for the win.

I like canister shells more because the break and report just sound better and look better I think.

The Meet Mr. Big from Shelton Fireworks is just as big as the Excal and in my opinion has better color scheme and effect.

OK, here is the truth, people like canister shells a lot more, people like the ball shells because there cheaper in most cases and they are still good, I rather get canister shell but most likely I will be getting plenty of ball shells over a smaller but better canister shell. That is my view and most others views. ;)

Some companies are putting a ball shell in a cardboard tube to sell them as canister shells. Be careful on what you buy

i like the ball shells they have less "tail" from launch. I think the trail from canister detracts from actual break.
