i love that bambie thug looks like a bad witch but gives off such good witch vibes and has good witch morals, standing up for peace, uniqueness and equality
Im a 58 year male from Australia and watched her performance on Eurovision with my wife and we were both abit shocked with her performance. I can see the great effort in the performance. This haunting version of The Cranberries is absolutely brilliant what a fantastic version, I love it. Through the decades we had controversial artists such as Madonna, Marilyn Manson, Bjork, Lady Gaga. Now we have Bambie Thug our next superstar. You will be huge. Congratulations.
I don't have many positive things to say about Eurovision this year, but one thing I'm so grateful for is that it introduced me to Bambie. I hope they know they're making a difference with their art
I heard about Bambi Thug because some Right Wing extremist group was complaining about them in an article and immediately checked out their music and fell in love with the artist, their work is so amazing and omfg the outfits!!!!
The fact that they selected THAT particular song to cover is another well-deserved middle finger to the EBU! Keep on fighting the good fight, the world needs more artists like them! ❤
@@LL-LLLL9you forgot to mention that Israel spent A FUCKTON of money on ads that appeared everywhere on youtube, with an explicit "vote up to 20 times!" written on it. I know because I got one, even though I didn't even watch Eurovision. Not to mention, there were ads on godsdamned Times Square. The world didn't speak. Marketing did.
@@naarelservs9713 And yet you be believing everything that comes out of PALLYWOOD. Where were these adds you speak of I'm here everyday and seen not one ,nadda.
A spellbinding performance. And the timely importance of this song should always be remembered, given the historical (and sadly current) parallels between Ireland and Palestine. Please keep speaking for those who have been rendered silent by the inhumane atrocities. Much love to you ya wicked witch!
The original is far better because of the raw vocals that were not autotuned and layered multiple times. This modern version is the result of the music producers, not Bambie. They could have autotuned Joe Biden and came up with a similar effect.
Bambie has 'ceasefire' written on their face in Ogham, an Irish alphabet from the Middle Ages. Extremely prescient given today's unfolding of events and the context of the original Cranberries version (and not to mention the debacle that was Eurovision this year)
if you think this is relevant today because there is a war somewhere... you don't understand the Northern Ireland issue and history. There's always a war somewhere, that doesn't make it the same as the Irish troubles of the 80's and 90's. please read a book!
The Un-Crowned Witch. Easily the best act out of Eurovision this year! Wasn't even close for me! Great cover and thanks for the banger of an album that is Cathexis! ❤
I have to say this is an awesome version of one of my favourite Cranberries songs. Bambie gives off such a magical and mystical vibe she is one hell of an artist... Greetings from Western Australia xx
@@soulsurfersteph I absolutely don't agree. This version is like a breath of fresh air, the smell of which you have already tasted somewhere, but this one is much better
I grew up loving the original. As you sing it, there is a powerful contempt in your voice, which feels so distinct. I detach the song from where and when it came. And I hear it now, sung about now. And it chills me, and It lingers with me. A good spell.
I hear it 'now' but it's sung like it's the voice of a ghost who died a century ago. The video added a new dimension to this song, giving it a Romantic feeling, Springtime in the cemetery. The softer vocals than in the original, were a nice surprise because we all know Bambie can scream. Love this version and the video ❤ 🖤
There will never be another Dolores, and in order for me to like a Cranberries cover, it has to be EXCELLENT. Bambie Thug is the very definition of that! I'm glad Ireland did well in the Eurovision. Us Brits were embarassing.
Every aspect of this production is amazing artistry for an important moment in Irish history. The subtle reference to 1916 is truly inspired. Go Ireland!
Here Bambie Thug has created the most hauntingly beautiful and incredibly moving cover I have ever experienced. ❤️ They are the most expressive and creative artist I have ever known and this song and video fills me with many different emotions. Being Goth, it brings me tears of happiness and awe as it embodies the sentiments, aesthetics and world views which I ascribe to this way of life, and the subject of the song and the emotional pain expressed bring me tears of sorrow and despair at the atrocities happening in the world even still today. 🖤 Bambie is a brilliantly talented artist and wonderful person who is always speaking out and standing up for what is right, there are so many reasons to love and admire them. 💜
Oh my god , this is the most powerful interpretation i have heard of song . The setting of video gives song an even more darker edge . Beautifully sung with such emotion which leaps out and immerses you into song .🖤
Вы самые лучшие🙏🏻 теперь Ваши песни для меня как глоток свежего воздуха, спасибо Вам💗 (кавер восхитительный) You are the best🙏🏻 Now your songs are like a breath of fresh air to me, thank you💗 (the cover is amazing) :0000🙏🏻
ok idk if you'll read this bambie but i had to say : thank you. for bringing art in the competition (congrats on 6th place), for supporting the winner and the other contestants, for daring to show how dirty the ebu is and to speak the truth about it. i can't imagine how hard it must have been to compete under these conditions, hopefully things will change because what happened today wasn't eurovision, just a succession of injustices. thank you. my 12 points from belgium, your song and performance were above this damn competition 💙
She's not a real pagan or witch, its just a show. Pagan's dont believe in the devil, or 666. That's christian stuff. The Devil doesn't no exist to them. Druids and witches and pagans are just lovely people. 99.99% of them would just come across as a harmless hippy to you. For example in her performance she had a pentagram on the ground and her and the demon guy danced on it. This is impossible, the pentagram is a protection seal, it represents balance, its impossible for something demonic to emerge from it.
Completely blown away, she walks on water, she levitates over us . The spirit of this song lives through her again as it did before. Hopefully she can use her incredible gift to help heal the broken world society we live in today the way this song helped heal Northern Ireland.
A fabulous cover and Dolores would approve. Bambie has been a fabulous representative for Ireland. You deserve that ESC 2024 crown. No matter the result tonight or Saturday, Ireland is being taking seriously again in ESC. Crown the witch 👸🏻☘️🇮🇪💯❤️🎙️
Being Goth for decades, it's impossible not to burst into tears of endless joy when watching this masterpiece of dark art: I couldn't be represented in a more beautiful, in a more artistic, in a more mesmerizing way!🖤✨️🌙🕯It feels like magic that alternatively minded people like us - souls who are prone to love mysticism, ethereal gloom, spiritual depth and contemplative melancholy - have a voice singing and speaking for them on the biggest stage of the world! All sorts of generic pop have never touched our hearts, hence we oftentimes stayed away from the competition, but this journey together with Bambie is the most wonderful experience I can imagine and this once-in-a-lifetime artist is rendering me speechless over and over again!🖤✨️ I mean, just look at these enchanting aesthetics: This is Trad Goth par excellence, a feast for the eyes, beautifully seductive darkness luring through the screen, shots from another world and clothing I would instantly wear for the rest of my life, and we shall not forget about their make-up which is not only on point but an additional layer of art on top of this immaculate cover!🌙 To release a cover of "Zombie" right before Semifinal 1 is a stroke of genius - not only for an Irish representative and considering that this is THE Irish anthem, but also because we need a voice standing against injustice more than ever before! In sorrowful times like these, where people are being eradicated and the sorrow isn't even seen by many, music can sometimes be the strongest statement to open hearts and eyes. Social criticism has always been something very close to my heart, and I'm insanely proud of Bambie expressing what needs to be addressed and for showing true character and authenticity! And speaking of music, Bambie couldn't have covered this legendary hymn in a more beautiful way: Putting their own stamp on it, filling the melodies with even more darkness and an ethereal ambience, but still paying tribute to the original in the most honouring and respectful way. If you need any more proof for the fact that Ireland is coming for qualification tomorrow and for the WIN in the grand final, just watch this otherworldly masterpiece as well as their show-stopping Eurovision performance! And then don't forget to crown the witch, because a boundary-breaking, hard-working and transcendentally creative artist like this deserves victory and love from all over the world!🇮🇪🧙♀️👑🌙✨️🖤
@@elendil_lehtinen then smile more 😁 And that Bambi mess does not represent my Ireland. She has been entered to lose, RTE is broke and couldn't afford to put on the Eurovision.
The real goddess of Eurovision 2024 and to me the True Winner and surprise of the season! You represent everything we need in these days. Bambie Thug forever!
Bambie Thug is perhaps the most intresting thing to ever come out of the eurovision songcontest. i feel drawn to their errieness, the darkness and just daring to be somthing very differnt. this cover is one of the best ive heard in a lot of years, and im differntly comming back for more.
I’ve tears in my eyes, I don’t know why? Is it the beauty of the song, their voice, the lyrics, the meaning, I honestly can’t tell you, but what I do know is this is incredible.
Bambi .. keep going. Keep at it. You will make it big.. Ireland is proud of you..all the negative txts are nothing but jealousy. Show them when you are a super star selling out stadiums..
@@moonsigil moonbagel maybe u can make a cover of chiribibi chiribomb and sing it on next tantura celebrating zio event but only if u sound like Fran Drescher
At almost 52 I'm constantly listening for new and different sounds - so much of what I have heard in the past decade or two has been the same work rehashed and fed through the corporate blender, or older bands desperately flogging their name and past talent for another few bucks in the bank. So this year has so far been a delight for me with The Last Dinner Party and now this - yes it's a cover but ye gods what a cover!
Stunning! The first worthy cover of this imho, your reverence for the solemnity of the lyric, while not trying to ape the original, makes it a chilling, beautiful update to a classic of Irish songwriting.
I gave this video a like even before watching. After watching it I'm in tears of how beautiful it is. So glad Eurovision introduced me to Bambie. This video is a masterpiece.
for the past few days I’ve been listening to doomsday blue on repeat 24/7. I’m so happy that I found this channel, going to have more Bambie’s songs (and covers;)) to be obsessed with
Bambie is such a force to be reckoned with, thank you for being so inspirational and using your art in such a beautiful way for this cover and being a complete badass in general! Non-binary people are super creative (like Bambie, Jazmin Bean, etc.) and with Bambie doing this aswell as Doomsday Blue makes me so proud of them for being a voice to those who never see themselves in big media productions (whether it's neurodivergency or non-binary), they deserve all the good things that are happening to them and I can't wait to see what amazing art they come out with for years to come!
Sorry I had to delete that message, I realised that I was getting riled up about singers getting butt hurt about who's witch symbol looks like who's, and who's better at magic 🙄
this is amazing it does a great deal of justice to the original to see such a unique artist these days is incredible the fact that they made the song so powerful instead of watering it down or making it sound too modern is very impressive also seeing such an alternative artist represent Ireland is so cool to see i hope you go far you are an amazing artist!
Crown the witch!!!❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
bambie you are a genuine hero. so proud of you and your courage in the face of hatred. you're a wonderful artist, and ireland is forever fortunate to have you. love will triumph always ❤
Bambi, your art- both in the contemporary and occult sense- absolutely stuns me. I've seen a lot of magick in my long years, but yours is simply something else. May the brightness of your star blind us all.
Really looking forward to a full concert in the Netherlands soon? Amazing performance at Eurovision, truly outstanding. Loved the extra fury in the final performance as well as the atmosphere was far from optimal shall we say.
Covering a Nr.1 hit needs courage and capability . You have both!🙏🧟 All the best wishes from Germany for the ESC. I hope you will win, to go foreward with your art. God have given you a special talent. We love you .
