that jig is a complete waste of print and effort. just use clips... you know.. for paper, the black triangular ones. your just temporarily holding it in place to put the 'sticker' on - if your worried about marks, you can prep them with some foam or felt between, or if you plan to use clips often, permanently add some rubberized teeth. (easiest way is to clamp them open and spray with some plasti-dip) then they can be used for a variety of needs, even holding beds right to machine, without marking it. also these are typically 'meh' - they are used in very few things, and only the bottom layer.. sure it's nice.. but the cost seems to be a little high for the novelty of it. Besides that turn table, what else do you plan to use the 'diamond' (triangle polygons) pattern on? it is a very 'busy' pattern for most things, just like carbon fiber pattern... and only on the 'bottom' or 'top' of prints, if you orientate them, and not the 'top layer' like printers, but literally the very top only... other print beds are coming with 1 side like this (like mine) but.. I can't see use for it, and the fact its permanently attached to mine... limits my temperature range as my homing uses hot nozzle touching the bed to get a home location (and temps above 140C seem to cause issues and melt these 'print beds')
Clips would of worked much better, the printed clips were just a hassle. Good thing about the steel build plate is you can put a sticker on each side. As far as what else I'm going to use it for, not sure yet, going to try to print a phone case with TPU and think it will add a cool effect to it. If I run into any issues using them I will be sure to make a update video. Thank you for all the feedback!
this is strange. So the pattern is a micro-etching, the 'colors' are actually just light refracting off the different angles.. there is no actual color added to the print, it is all tiny lines that shift how the light moves.
