Bananabird (Blue-Faced Honeyeater) - Birds in the Aussie Backyard 

Quite a widespread habitat from very warm to quite cool. I have a bird bath as well and always enjoy watching birds take a bath they appear to be really enjoying themselves 😀

Lovely shots! We got a group of them regularly visiting our bird bath, too. We often see three of them at the same time. ❤️ The hierarchy in our garden bird bath seems to be: 1. Magpies 2. Pied butcher birds 3. Bluefaced honeyeaters 4. Noisy miners Although 3 and 4 often share together. We have a large tree next to the bath, so sometimes all the birds share the tree and simply wait for the higher-ups to be done, and then the next one in line flies in. It keeps me engaged for quite a while, just watching them. ❤️ We do sometimes have Rainbow Lorikeets take a swim, but I don't spot them in there often. I've never seen the Pied Currawongs in there, and I'm still not sure who our nightly visitors in the bath are.

G'Day Peter. Blue Faced Honeyeaters are very common in my neck of the woods. We have a small flocks of about 10 or so living in the gum tree just near our house. They share the tree with Magpies and Red Wattle Birds. They kick up quite a fuss when the occasional Australian Raven or Pied Currawong drop in for a visit. Keep up the good work. All the best.
