Kanami tells the story of this song as that this was the first version and she had made a couple of different arrangements of it, just to be thorough but MISA, who’d helped with it, refused them all but this first version, insisting on it really. I love all the varied facets of this band.💪🏻🤘🏻
Band-Maid. Always a good feeling when I see those words hyphenated together. How many bands have that effect ? Only the greats is the answer. Curious and hopeful to see how big this gets. They will be in U.S. in September. I'm goin'.
This is one of those Band-Maid songs that did not hit me as great on the first listen. Then it just grew and grew on me the more I listened to it. For me the song is awkward, and I think it is meant to be. The guitar opening is almost painful. Kanami purposely delaying strums to make a statement. Then the song comes in slowly. Saiki sings it very understated, reserved by her standards. It almost sounds flat or even through the first verses. But, the first half of the song is the set up for the incredible change of pace of the first guitar solo where Kanami goes into shredding mode. It comes as a shock. It is a WOW moment that ends up feeling way too short, but then she turns around and plays that second solo so melodic and emotional that it really gets me. In short I think the band knew exactly what they wanted to achieve and the contrasts in the song, to me, echo awkwardness. This song has crept up into my top ten for sure and bounces in and out of my top five. Thanks for checking this one out Ryan! Hope more is to come!

Hey a little jazz influence in the intro and the free flowing effect within the song was really great. They love to change up the pace and the music even within the same song so you never, ever can be complacent with Band Maid!!!Again, my only gripe is the solos are short in order to maintain the group sound, I love the team approach but could use some more riffs between Misa and Kanami and more of their solos, Take Me Higher was a great song where the whole band was great but Misa and Kanami really made it a great song!! You have so many videos I am missing G.O.T. (Never watched it but my family are addicts, hoping the dragon is the only survivor just to rile the masses(LOL)).
@@Kimobubby Yeah must of been great my wife is pissed and already my family is arguing over the ending. The dragon should of melted the throne with everyone that was left on it, now that would of been an ending to see!!!!!

Not quite on the Band-Maid bandwagon (HA! see what I did there?) yet, but I don't give thumbs down if I don't like something, only if it's poorly done ( Vince Neil). Props for the guitar work and this song is more standout than some. I've heard good work from their bassist, too, but don't let the Minnie Mouse-voiced girl sing.
