#bandmaid #bandmaidreaction #japanesemetal Continuing my journey through the catalogue and discography of BAND-MAID! This current song I'm reacting to is called "Blooming" and it is EASILY my new favorite right now.
@@thefablesfolly MAIDIACS MOTTO: your favorite Band-Maid song is the last one you listened to. As for getting copyright infractions - BAND MAID is very appreciative of all YT reactions. YT saved BAND MAID from disbanding back in 2015. The song THRILL was their first and possibly only song. Here is a compressed explanation from an article that included videos that have been removed from YT. ---- The MV for "Thrill" was officially uploaded in November 2014. However, the band is sluggish. From "Engadget Fes 2014 Winter" on November 24, 2014. This is a video of BAND-MAID during the slump, performing an acoustic live (unavoidably) in a small event space instead of a live house. Miku says, "Please remember just the name." 2015, spring to summer Kanami and Akane participate in another band called Mochi and Cheese. Perhaps they are valued for their musical talent by their agency and asked to participate in Mochi and Cheese. KANAMI and AKANE temporarily belonged to both of those two bands. "THRILL" was a hit on YT starting in April 2015, without that "THRILL" hit, Kanami and Akane went to Mochi and Cheese and BAND-MAID may have disappeared.
Thanks for the reaction and comments, Po! The composition of Blooming is complete in every sense of the word. It's the song that every musician wishes they'd written.
Band-Maid also had the opening song "Sense" for the anime "Platinum End" and closing song "Shambles" for season 2 of the fight anime "Kangan Ashura" on Netfix. Blooming was used in a car chase scene in the Netflix movie "Kate",
@@thefablesfolly Band-Maid actually appeared in the movie "Kate" onstage playing "Choose Me". And "Blooming" appeared in another scene on a car radio. The director was later interviewed about the film wearing a Band-Maid t-shirt.
It's really hard to beat the "Blooming" MV unless you listen to the "From Now On' MV , The "Onset" MV , ' The Non-Fiction Days' MV or maybe the "Unleash' MV which is a anime Po =)
Pretty sure this video was in response to them being referred to as an Idol band. They said something like "Oh yeah, well how about we melt your fucking face without showing ours". Seems legit.
A friend of mine is putting a giant pigeon on the hood of his mustang. Along with other Band-Maid references around the sides and rear. It might look like a Firebird when it's done.
Band-Maid are the best prog hard rock band on the planet. You hit the nail on the head. No-one else plays like this. Band-Maid are in a realm all of their own.
This was featured in the movie "Kate" with Woody Harrelson during a Chase scene... It fit perfectly. They are also playing on stage when one of the characters entered a dance club. Check it out I think you'll like it.
Dude, you want to react to BAND-MAID? I'm here! My favorite band that needs to be bigger. Don't be afraid to check out songs that don't have videos. One of my current favorites "matchless Gum" 3rd song on the YOLO single.
Band-Maid have been commissioned to write songs for Anime, or had songs used in Anime: "Glory" was used as an ending theme in 'Yuu Gi Ou: Vrains' "Carry On Living" was used as the ending theme in 'Quiz Tokiko-san' "Sense" was commissioned as both the opening and ending song for 'Platinum End' "Different" was commissioned as the opening theme in 'Log Horizon: 3' "Shambles" was commissioned as an ending theme for 'Kengan Ashura' (2023) All have music video's except "Carry On Living" which is an album track on their 2018 "World Domination album.
The Maids aren't who I'm worried about. It's RU-vid and the company who has the license to the music. Don't care much, though. If a video gets removed, I have it posted on other sites.
Great reaction. You're a Twelve Foot Ninja fan? Fantastic band and it is no wonder you love Band-Maid. They both do not really care about genre. My favorite Band-Maid song is Corallium. Search for Corallium Live. It has sound combinations you haven't heard anywhere else.
@@thefablesfolly really? I'm clearly not up-to-date. I thought they wanted to search for a replacement for Nik, but then ultimately gave up and put the band on hitaus indefinitely (aka break up).
Great react, This song is a MASTERPIECE. I felt the same thing than you firdt time i heard it, i stopped to breath until the breakdown. IF they were a band come from US/UK, or other english speaking country they probably be one of the most popular band on the planet (but m,e i likthem like they are)
I've listened to many Japanese artists and bands, but there's no other bands sound like them. I'm an easily bored person (I've said this before) they just satisfy my eclectic taste. There is live version somewhere on RU-vid, but I recommend you watching it in your private time, because it's not 'official' video.
I still don't like the intro of this song, but even with that, this has moved into my top 10 favorite Band Maid songs. Numbers 4,6,7,8, and 9 are open on my list but I still have not decided which one this song fits into.
If forced to choose, Blooming is my #1. There are many live versions, but to me, none equal the MV. The relative levels of the 2 singers and the lead guitar in the final vocal segment can't be matched in a live setting.
As a musician of 56 plus years I believe Band-Maid is the band in the world today. I started following Band-Maid back in 2014, I found them on Facebook. I want to thank Miku Kobato for forming the best band in the world. I believe Kanami Tono the lead guitarist is most incredible writer and composer on the planet today. I my opinion Band-Maid is a progressive rock band and I have seen some of the best musicians in my lifetime. Great reaction. I have everything that Band-Maid has produced in my collection. Again great reaction. Band-Maid does not have a bad song in their collection of about 150 songs. By the way Their first management company didn't let them use their own music until 2016 with "Alone". Sorry for the long winded comment. I love Band-Maid and will support them until I die. Keep Rocking Dude 🤘🤘👍👍🕊️🇺🇸
You are beginning to understand good neophyte. They add every good thing they can to a song. They flip it around, turn it upside down, remove anything that detracts from the awesomeness. Short solos that make you want more. Insane choices for the drums (see Black Hole) wildly creative bass playing, employing Miku's amazing vocal range and talents to enrich the sound - that's what they do. But that's only the end result. It helps to have a musical genius composer. Musical lyrics in 2 languages- clever positive lyrics. Hooks to catch and hold your attention. That's all for now! Too much to take in. Great review. Keep up the good work!
I would be remiss if I didn't give due laud and honor to the incredible Saiki Atsumi for her charismatic leadership of the band during performances and her role as quality control agent having final approval of the songs. No Saiki No BandMaid.
Band-Maid & Anime you say, well - fun fact then. Their song Different, was used as the opening song in the 3rd season of the Japanese Anime called Log Horizon.
Band-Maid is the sound I was searching for my whole life. I've been looking all over the Japanese side of things ever since I found them 3.5 years ago and I can safely say that, no, there isn't anyone else who sounds like them. There are a few songs out there that sound a bit like them, but no bands.
Pausing is fine. Just back it up a bit afterwards. Tap the left arrow button once or twice. Most reactors do this these days to help keep the flow of the song.
I think the american rock/metal scene has not brought anything new since Thrash Metal (every band sounds the same now, at least the bigger ones)... Japanese music scene is fresh and has been for the last 20 years! I´m sorry but I really don't like the US metal scene...so prove me wrong (no screamo, growl and shit...gritty/raspy vocals are fine)
There is no such thing as a typical anime intro in Japan. Anime productions either use existing music or commission musicians to compose and perform music for their anime. Some music is intense, some is pop, and some is ballads. Band-Maid has also written some songs for anime, but blooming is not used. Anime music is only a small part of Japanese music. What do you mean by pausing to say that you don't like pausing?
@@thefablesfolly I'd rather have a reactor pause the video to express their feelings about something right NOW rather than after it. Theres to many reactors who have a 10 seconds intro, the video and then a 20 seconds outro. For me, if a reaction video isnt at least twice the length of the video they are reacting to they are not really reacting. Take time to share your thoughts whenever, even if you have to interrupt the video, you can always skip back a few seconds to the beginning of the solo. I can watch this video uninterrupted at any time on their own channel. Here, I am watching YOU react!
Listening to every genius element of this song makes me feel like I died and gone to band-Maid heaven. Not only is there a band not like this in the US- same for the rest of the world. The most complete rock song for 50 years. Cool reaction- Thanks.
Agreed, just stop and realize what they have accomplished in the past ten years...the library of original works....the past year alone has been something to witness..magical ? Yes. How does so much creativity flow from this band. Band? They are more than that, they are a gift to this planet 🙏🙏🙏🕊
One reason IMH thanks all the reactors who educate us none music elite how great this song is composition, technics, creativity and performance of our maids.
"This is a different animal." 100% dead on, I'm appreciating how perceptive your reactions are. What's your favorite Band-Maid song? The last one you listened to. Of course.
MISA chugging 16th notes is a thing of beauty. Since you do like to pause, maybe you could at least back it up 5-10 seconds because there's not goo place to pause Band-Maid song.
The way I was recording I was not able to do that. I made a new way of recording. I've been wanting to back up 5 seconds, but it just wouldn't work the way I was doing it.
The ladies from BAND-MAID are pretty lenient to reactors but woe betide the common user who uploads their music as their management, record companies and claims companies will strike you down. Even Sony who have NO connection to the ladies will make a claim and get you a strike though they have no rights to do so
Not Po, but Kruppo. Transliterated that would be Cluppo. Which is also the name of Miku's solo project. She didn't really go solo. It was an April Fool's Day joke, just like BAND-MAID deciding to become BAND-MAIKO. But the songs and videos are still great. You should check them out. And, since you like anime theme songs, they have those as well! This should have been one, but not yet. BAND-MAID do have anime theme song commissions. 'Glory' for Yu-Gi-Oh VRAINS is one. Another is 'Shambles', the season two closer for the Netflix anime, Kengan Ashura. They also have 'Unleash' where the OMV itself is in anime form. Check those out as well.
