It was a snippet I heard of B-M on the movie Kate, I paused the movie, googled B-M and that was it, a Maidiac was born and damn happy about it, gotta love those snippet moments, what a fcken band Po 👍🍻
Yes, they do tour in the US. There are fan-cammed videos of the concerts on YT. If you are at one of their concerts and not throwing up a hand and yelling, you would be the only one in the room.
Many of us saw Band-Maid play “From Now On” live. OMNG! Kanami riffed her ass off. The DB’s matched the BPM’s! So FROM NOW ON, Band-Maid will grow in popularity even faster as their awesome, sold out 10TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR wrapped up at Japan’s 17,000 seat Yokohama Arena on Nov. 26 and at Hong Kong. AND they’re writing and recording for their new album! The Maids are one of the hardest working supergroups in the business! Their music, their sound, each of the Maids... and the love that permeates their live events is an experience not to be missed. Hope you can catch them LIVE! Thx, Storm!
"Onset" is another amazing instrumental by Band-Maid. Band-Maid is the first band I've purchased tickets to see live in years. They like touring the US. I saw them at a small club in Detroit and at an outdoor metal festival in Columbus Ohio. They know how to put on a great show no matter what size venue and it's unbelievable how well these 5 Japanese women connect with a live audience. They do "From Now On" live. Their lead guitarist is the primary composer and a classically trained pianist, who does most of the MIDI based backing tracks.
Welcome to the Thunderdome! Band Maid is: MIKU (mee-koo) Rhythm guitar, backing vocals, writes the lyrics. The band’s founder. “Hard Rocking Maids” is her vision. KANAMI (kah-nah-mee) Lead guitar. A classically trained musician, she writes and arranges the music. “Mincho” MISA (mee-sah) Bass. She’s very special and the band knows it, the songs purposely feature her. She is “The Barefoot Assassin” AKANE (ah-kah-neh) Drums. You can set your watch to her. Always testing herself. The Happiest drummer on Earth. “The Gorilla” is the other half of the best rhythm section anywhere. SAIKI (sigh-kee) Lead vocals. “Front man”. Cool as the other side of the pillow. She’s also the Team Mom.
I fell in love with Band Maid with "Onset", the first song I heard from them and another great instrumental. But when I discovered Saiki's voice and their other songs, I became a Maidiac. ;-)
I love rock/metal instrumentals. Other Band Maid instrumentals are Onset (LIVE). Without holding back. and Don't be long ( no official video). There is also a fan channel called Instrumental Maid that has what we Band-Maid fans call the "White Room" videos which has a few songs minus the vocals that are amazing.
Thanks from Japan 有難う💛。 I witnessed this song performed live four times with this MV quality in Japan and dropped my jaw four times 😲. I believe so did many of American audience in their 2022 & 2023 US tours. This song has been normally played in the middle of the setlist to give Saiki, lead vocalist, some break. They played this song, however, as opening at festivals and in Guns N' Roses concert in Japan as support to the legendary band. Yeah! they showed off their skills and talents to the audience who knew nothing about the girls in maid outfit on the stage. I felt as if I heard them screaming "Hey guys! Listen to us and open your eyes wide! We are not the persons that you think ! Salute us!" 😄
Thanks for the reaction and comments. Kanami, the lead guitarist, is the compositional mastermind behind their music. Her classical music background is evident in all the songs she composes. Check out Onset or Play (both official live videos). The latter was originally composed as an instrumental track but lyrics were added at the request Saiki, the lead singer. It's interesting to see how they were able to integrate lyrics into a composition so seamlessly. Anyway, looking forward to more Band-Maid reaction videos going forward. Until next time...Cheers!
In 2022 saw *BAND-MAID* 4 times (Aftershock, San Francisco, Phoenix and Silver Spring) and got to the venue early to get a spot at the rail and in 2023 saw *BAND-MAID* 4 times (Houston, Atlanta, Nashville and Denver) 😆🤘
"Something about this song was a siren call." Yeah... trust your gut. 🙂 Band-Maid is the best live hard rock band there is right now. 120+ songs to go. Throw a dart, they're all good. Go live next. Thanks man. Great Reaction! 🙂🤘
Imo..Best instrumental ever made. Kanami is pure genius as a composer and magical guitarist 🔥 For me..She is most impressive musician of the 21st Century 💥 Lovin’ Band-Maid ❤️
"Crazy... in a good way..." Yeah, that's one of the many great things you get from Band-Maid. Agreed, prog instrumentals are awesome! Note that even folks who don't like instrumentals like this song, because of that melody that Kanami plays on the guitar you noted acting as the voice. Works as well as hearing Japanese lyrics you don't understand. :)
If you want to check out a Japanese band that does ALL instrumentals, and happens to have perhaps the best metal guitarist ever (packed into a 4' 8" frame) try the band Asterism, if you haven't already.
They do come to the USA, and you would be just as hype as everybody there, because their shows are unbelievably good! I saw them once live at the House of Blues in Chicago, and it was one of my favorite shows ever. Up there with Rush, Pink Floyd and Muse.
Thank you for a solid reaction! You don't have to justify your preferences! Love what you love! No matter what track of BAND-MAID you listen to, you're almost certain to find pure joy in their music! 🖤
Best rock band on the planet. Watch ONSET live and the white room version of WITHOUT HOLDING BACK for a couple more great instrumentals. Kind of off the subject, you might like Liquid Tension Experiment with has three albums of crazy instrumental stuff out.
*BAND MAID!* Saw them last August.. Great show seriously one of the best I'd been to ever, and I've been to 100's of shows back to the early 90's Band Maid have several instrumental tracks well worth a listen. 🤘❤🔥🤘
Band-Maid is the best band in the world for me. I love them. If I were to recommend, there are so many others. You might want to try this >>>> Koiai "A New Picture" Official Live MV ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rX6SP5bQZH8.html (oh, you are going to like this) The Japanese rock scene is a deep rabbit hole. You realize that guitarist on left is Hazuki from Nemophila, another amazing all female metal band. And that guitar on left is Li-Sa-X, a child prodigy and is a genius on the guitar and she is 19 years old. You then realize that the bassist is a freak on the bass just like MISA of Band-Maid and her name is Wakazaemon who is a current member of "East of Eden"; and she was a Marty Friedman's (Megadeath) tour member. Also, the drummer is Kanade Sato who also was a child prodigy and that everyone who knows Jazz Fusion knows her and that she is one of two world class Fusion Jazz drummers with Senri Kawaguchi (who is also a freak on the drums); that's whole another world right there. You find that Li-sa-X also knows Yuki of D-Drive. You then realize that Yuki is also a member of "East of Eden". What? your head start spinning. You then realize that the vocalist of East of Eden is Akane Minato (same name as Akane of our Band Maid) and that she was a vocal member of Mochi to Cheese which was a side project of two members of Band-Maid (Akane and Kanami) in their early years. What? So, Akane of East of Eden knows Akane and Kanami of Band Maid. Yeah, it gets really deep.
Band-Maid does great instrumental songs as others have recommended, "Onset", "Without Holding Back", "Giovanni"(instrumental version), "Dawn Winery Theme", "Don't Be Long", and "Hard Wash" are all great. Band-Maid did a whole album of instrumental versions of all the songs from the Unseen World album.
Yup. this became my favorite BAND-MAID song upon release. And I hope I have a new favorite song when their new album is released soon. BAND-MAID is Awesome 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥Peace. 382
Stick with this band they are amazing ! Band-maid has over 130 tunes and another album this summer ! Please check out "Play" Official live or "Domination" live it doesn't matter all their songs are great✌🤘Thanks Nice Reaction
Storm, if "From Now On" is introduction into Band-Maid, welcome to a musical journey that you will not, at first, believed you would take. Many of us Maidiacs (that's what Band-Maid fans call ourselves). You are now going to get many, many likes and subscribers on your channel. There is another Band-Maid instrumental I would suggest you listen to. That official live video is for "Onset". "Onset" is an earlier recording from the group. Now don't worry, Band-Maid has a lead vocalist who is magnificent. Also, the band's rhythm guitarist, Miku Kobato, on this video wearing the red rose on her headpiece, is also a vocalist, who does backing vocals and some lead vocals. The official Band-Maid RU-vid channel has over 200 million looks at their videos. once you react to more of their video from that channel, you will first realize there is NO bad Band-Maid song from their 130 song discography. Secondly, you will come to realize the immense talent, togetherness, and professionalism of the five petite young Japanese females.
It’s clear that you are a music fan. And Band Maid is a music fan/musicians’ band. Your ears will be rewarded the more times you listen. There’s more where this came from. “Don’t be long,” “Without Holding Back,” and “Onset” are the other three dedicated instrumental tracks Band Maid has released. The Instrumental Maid Channel also has instrumental versions of several regular songs. One particular outstanding example is “Giovanni,” a quite heavy and progressive piece. Personally, I enjoy the instrumental over the lyrical track because it’s so complex and layered. You better start saving up now for your first Band Maid okiyuji! Even the live videos don’t do justice to how incredible and memorable Band Maid shows are. The energy, fun and excitement is unmatched and thoroughly infectious. You’re going to be a little sore the next day , but it’ll be worth it 😂
Sugoi! "Shut up, Kanami is speaking!" as the t-shirt says (shout out to Ryan Mears), or singing, as you put it (and I agree). I've seen them twice in their last 2 tours in the U.S., 2022, and 23. They are not to be missed! Arigatou! 🤘🤘
They have a few instrumentals, Onset is on their channel. My favorite is Without Holding Back, but you have to dig around to find that one. They started making these to give their vocalist a rest during shows. She had surgery on her vocal chords at one point, so now in the middle of shows she gets a couple songs off (Miku usually sings one without her as well) to let her throat recover a bit.
Thank you for your reaction. I also want to see them live most of all but it seems that they focus more on US, better for you rather then me who lives in Sweden. I saw Lovebites in Denmark a week ago, so that is something, but still more metal then I am. I really liked the performance though. I have not checked if already listen to it but Onset official live is another great instrumental by the maids. Have fun! :)
