It's a shame that they are not reported on here in the west. To me they are as good or better than any new bands we have over here. Each of them together are Band-Maid and that's special.
They toured in US, Europe, France and some other countries last year and in 2017 as well if I remember correctly. All their shows in US were all sold out from what I read.
THAT BASS!!! Definite call backs to the great Geezer Butler, who has a Blues style of playing, but this bass player takes me back. The vocals, on this song, bounce off each other so nicely and with great timing. These ladies always impress.
This song is usually one of the first two I recommend to people. It has great moments for everyone in the band and that solo is just fantastic. Great review! Thanks for inviting us along on the journey!
The Bible of interaction Band Maid - their fans, in short and in that order - "Choose me", "Turn me on", "Rock in me" and "Don`t let me down":) And of course, every throw of "Dice" gives the six.
So much to love about this song. First you get Miku's solo lines. Then you get a great Misa solo followed by a longer than normal solo from Kanami. And finally a little mini drum solo from Akane. Just a great song.
Oh yeah, another really good one you haven't got to yet is Secret My Lips. It's got a really sweet bass line and some nice chunky guitar riffs. Well, actually there are still a lot of good ones left but check this one out soon. Secret My Lips (live) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-SPgKG8MCDjA.html
@Dave Cook Since they released the 'Gion-cho' music video and the BAND-MAIKO mini-album, I've almost given up trying to make sure folks watch 'Secret My Lips' before 'Secret Maiko Lips'. : )
I don't have a favourite. I mean, I DO, but it changes every week, so all of them have been my favourite at some point. But generally Akane blows me away, so I guess if I had to pick one, it would be her. She's just sooooo ridiculously good, my favourite drummer of all time. They're all really good, but she's on a whole other level. So maybe she's my favourite.
She plays piano, trombone and she started drumming 4 years before she joined band-maid when she was 19. She's also an active DJ performing at various night clubs.
Funky MISA, MISA, MISA!! Yea they are just good! I find it hard to even recommend any particular song from them anymore. I like so many, I just think it is cool for the reactor to do anything that strikes them. I don't think you have done "Don't you Tell me" from this show yet have ya?? I am sure that will be high up on the request list as a must see. Course I know you will get to it eventually! I think your becoming addicted! LOL!!
Best guess at this point is a tour schedule of North America will probably come out in July. i expect they will play the Fillmore or Civic Center or the Warfield in SF because they will be promoted by Live Nation. Seattle and LA are good bets as well. Stay tuned. they got all Black Sabbath there for a second didn't they?
It is no secret that I truly and whole heartedly love Miku-chan. She is so sweet and cheery! There isn't enough time in the day to put into words how special she really is. If you wanna hear more of her heavenly voice, check out "Rock in Me" live. That vid was the one that made me fall hard for her. Who else is out there is pining for the most adorable person in the world? Lol.
Too busy making reaction vids he starve his kids... LoL!!! JK ... These girls kick ass!!! I'm not into the Babymetal thing way too gimmicky. Band-Maid and The Warning, two of the most kick ass groups regardless of gender. How cool would a concert of those two groups be? Now for my obligatory request...
