I originally started watching you because I saw ‘ft. Heccra‘ in the title of that raccoon tour music video.(Heccra is awesome.) It brings me great joy to see a youtuber who has 300k+ subscriber, makes good videos, and has objectively good taste in music.
nate i need you to know i watched your first two band recommendation videos during my freshman year of high school and it literally shaped my entire music taste. you introduced me to so much amazing stuff i wouldn’t have found otherwise. so many of those bands became the soundtrack for my high school years and i have so many memories attached to them now. you have excellent taste in music. thank you for sharing it :)

Hi Nate! I wanted to recommend two bands (one you may have heard of) that you may enjoy. The first is Portugal. The Man which is psychedelic rock and sounds amazing (especially Evil Friends). The second is a small electronic rock band called Joywave that sounds like a mix between P!ATD and Imagine Dragons, mixed in with a little bit of Radiohead and Twenty One Pilots.
Don’t listen to Barrington. Their singer and lead was caught on some especially heinous pred charges. Their music is removed from my playlists. I’m going to cut the out of the video tomorrow.

hey yall, id like to add to the "you definitely havent heard of" first and highest recommended is called candy picnic, its indie alt rock? Ish? either way theyre rlly good. im willing to bet theyre going to blow up, just from their music alone. if you like hardcore, check out dr/unk, theyre so so fucking amazing to watch live, their stage presence is just insane. if u like.. slightly hardcore mathrock? check out rhododendron if u like underground emo vibes, check out mauve's "20,000 degrees" they only have this one song, and it came out a few weeks ago but i think its a rlly good song(listen to the whole song, clipping around its not as good)
Saw "A Residual Affinity" with you guys in SLC. So much fun and so impressed with their energy and enthusiasm on stage, they deserve a listen and then some! They're cool enough that they game my friend a ton of free merch just for giving them all the energy they could ask for in such a small crowd.

Based on your music tastes, there are 2 bands I think you would like. 1. Good Kid. They’ve made tons of amazing songs and their best song in my opinion is No Time to Explain 2. Skye Rocket. Their music is a mix of pop and punk and it’s incredible. Their best song in my opinion is If Summer had a Daughter.
i hate hobo johnson because one time i went to a local music store that’s also a venue and i was looking for a specific piece of gear and they said they had it but hobo johnson bought it when he played a show there
If there's anyone else that love metal music and Aztec music here, then listen to Cemican. They were my most listened to band of 2022. I'd recommend the song Donde Nace El Viento (Ehecatl). Perfect band for people with a random obsession with the Aztecs.
I didn't expect to come into this video expecting to see a dozen and a half kids getting obliterated by a car, but that sure did happen. Also put Rare Americans on part 5 please nate, RA2 is one of my favourite bands of all time and their music videos are great
bruh rip panic at the disco fr also if you've listened to idkhbtfm, it's pretty understated how much of the 2010s patd album lyrics were authored by dallon weekes. like its dead obvious sometimes
my recommendations bands you defo heard of: 1. Deftones, their tone is *italian kiss* (Entombed - Deftones) 2. Nirvana, obvious reasons (Stay Away - Nirvana) bands you maybe heard of: 1. Type O Negative, i could make an essay about why this band is good (Christian Woman - Type O Negative) 2. Rob Zombie, they were popular back then but most people now haven't heard of this band (Dragula - Rob zombie) bands you definitely have not heard of: 1. The Birthday Massacre, if you like alot of synth in your metal then you'll love this band (looking glass - TBM) 2. Slackjaw, this band is like a mix of sludge, thrash, and death metal it is genuinely so good. (phantasmagoria - slackjaw)
I missed Cookie Tongue when they came to my town (my fav local artist was touring with them) and honestly it’s THE BIGGEST concert regret Of My Life. So I suppose that’s a deal of approval lol
If I can recommend a band that no one has heard have, it would definitely be "Generation Simulation" they make alt indie pop with beautiful production, and tbh the lead singer sounds wayy to similar to Tyler Joseph I would recommend "The Sand" by them If you like Twenty one pilots then you'll most definitely like this band
