This the real situation. Diamonds in itself are a scam and only have value because a certain amount are released every year and just because people BELIEVE they have value. You better off just getting some lab created diamonds
Ladies and gentleman please hear me and hear me well! Diamonds are worthless the only value a diamond has is the one that a jeweler places on it. I’ve been making jewelry since I was 15 in my grandfathers iron shop and have seen it all from a 2lbs diamond (it got cut down) to 4 kilos of gold and silver and anyone that knows their shit will tell you if you’re going to invest in any type of jewelry let it be precious metals because they typically ALWAYS hold value. Another misperception is that a larger carat weight is always better than a smaller carat weight. While it’s true that a big rock can be a status symbol (here’s looking at you, Hollywood), carat weight is not related to sparkle. Beautiful sparkle is the result of a well-crafted cut. In fact, a high carat weight diamond with a poor cut may look smaller than a diamond with a smaller carat weight and a very good cut. But if you have to have diamonds (especially for the fellas thinking of purposing) go lab grown you will save at least 35-40% over a blood diamond.
True however these guys don't know shit about any of that and are very ignorant to the details. In fact there is no way so random mall jeweller is having earthstones in that quantity. So to begin with artists get finessed thinking all diamonds are sourced from the earth. For sure most of the diamonds they're putting in these corny rap jewelry is lab created. A diamond isn't even the most rare earth stone but man has tricked the masses. There's too much to debate on this but if I were a jeweler I'll rob these guys every chance I get.
Where can you find precious metal like a kilo of gold and silver? The only places I’ve ever heard that touched any were big pawn shops and they usually buy and keep overtime for personal gain of course.
2k for a cuban or 30k, I'm taking the 2k cuban and getting the same effect as if I had the 30k cuban on, The average person can't tell the difference between diamonds and moissanite.
@@timharris1675 gold holds it value but it doesn’t look as good as gold and diamond mix and most people buy jewelry to look good so they aren’t going to get plain gold but that’s why you only spend 2k on the diamond jewelry like the comment above says so it really isn’t much of a loss

Correction to Kevos statement. Moissanites are not Diamonds at all. CVD Diamonds are literally real diamonds grown in a lab, same chemical make up and structure as a real diamond because it is a real diamond but it isn’t a NATURAL diamond. Natural diamonds are much more expensive. But natural and lab grown diamonds do not hold much resell value. They are a liability unlike gold which holds or can even appreciate in value
Moissanite does not pass a diamond tester lol, it test as moissanite. I’m not sure if maybe he’s talking about lab created diamonds or buy labs are the same EXACT as natural ones

This is because moissanite also has very high thermal conductivity! Other diamond simulants, such as CZ, will not pass the tester.
@@DTdaG yes they are a 9.9 on the scale and diamonds are a 10 but a good tester at a jewelry store identifies the exact gem, dirty diamonds cans test as moissanite but not too often the other way around from my experience

Moissanite is a gemstone its not lab made, it gets treated in a lab to look like a diamond but you can’t make moissanite in a lab it comes from the earth just like natural diamonds
