Few facebook groups out there and some of the lads will tell you more things about the 3690 than the engineers knew and I'm sure one has a set of front links
Breakages always happen when you least need them, can't be helped. Hope you had a great birthday. Looking forward to finding out what you're excited about!
You should record and show the work involved in fixing it because it could be helpful to some people and as for me it'd be really interesting. Thanks for the videos lad :)
Where is the front mower? Lost a rotor on a JD 1360 one time and didn't miss it till I finished mowing, Eventually fount it and all was well, small misses in the last field though.
Great video Phil. I'm thinking, that stone was a prop, ye placed in the field, to make the video more exciting for the viewer 🤔. Now that father Phil is a celebrity, is he turning into a bit of a diva and only wants to be filmed on his terms😂
somebody needs to invent up a sonar or radar box that mounts on the front of a tractor and bounces a signal back off large rocks in the field ahead of a tractor.. Could have a threshold to not pick up small stones and beeps or sumthin when it picks up a hard object.. Id build it only for im already to busy comin up with mad ideas ...... ;]
I'm just an old-fashioned girl, so it's good to see a man on RU-vid who's not afraid to get his hands dirty. I did a bit of rally driving in the 1980s and spent ages lying under cars in 3" of mud, snow or slush, bleeding brakes, changing clutches or broken track-rod ends. My hands aren't pretty and I keep my nails far too short to break. I hate wearing gloves. RU-vid is crammed full of complaints from 'concerned' (i.e. self-righteous) viewers about guys not using masses of Personal Protection Equipment every time they blow their nose, sharpen a pencil or change a lightbulb. No doubt there'll be lots of moaning about this video because at 3:00 Phil is fitting an absolutely VITAL bit of safety equipment (that PTO cover) without barrier cream, gloves, ear defenders, eye protection, a hard hat, safety boots, a respirator, or a nuclear haz-mat suit. And he got used oil on his hands! Oh no! The State of California (or wherever) has declared that mineral oil is a known carcinogen, and anyone exposed to it will have a life-expectancy of under 300 years! Phil, mate - you're dooooomed! And those bulls sounded a bit noisy, so I hope you had your earplugs in. Sigh. Shutting the tractor's back window when you're mowing makes perfect sense - and that's all the protection you need when you're working in a cab. No gloves, no mask, no goggles. (I found it a bit scary when you inspected the damaged disc with the tractor's engine still running, though.) It's true that danger never takes a day off, but sometimes you just have to roll up your sleeves [exposing your arms to dangerous levels of UV radiation!] and get the job done. Stay safe, Phil. But not TOO safe. ;-)
ol wings look a bit rotten Phil , mus be the cow shit which rots em ye , they prob fall off down the road & kill some kid on a bike !! lov all your vidjos Phil keep up the good work ***
