Look at Cheap RV Living. He does interviews of each RV / van / car. The do a tour and ask about their bathroom use. Set it up as a PLAYLIST or CHANNEL of basic techniques.

Rather than make the discussion of basics I hit or miss proposition, you might consider creating a series of videos which you call Vanlife basics or Vanlife School and put it in a separate channel. Then include a link to that channel in either in your description section or pinned as a first comment every time you have a post a new video. As an alternative or a supplement to such a Basics channel you could include an FAQ about the fundamentals of van life for people who don’t want to watch the whole series of videos about the basics of van life but just have one or two questions.

I've lived in five different vehicles and recently bought a 12-ft vintage travel trailer and moved into that and I still use the bag system toilet I still use my butane bottle with my camp stove I live as simple as possible and I love it

Your channel is already a day to day life. I think there is everything already about van life. Maybe in each video, you can focus on one or 2 basics… without changing what you already do, just put an accent on something specific.

I use a bucket in a bag too but you can buy a toilet land that fits a 5-gallon bucket I bought mine at Walmart that way the ringing of the bucket don't hurt your booty and as far as can I do that outside if I don't have a bathroom

I think it all depends on where you are doing van life... East coast US is probably a little harder to avoid "the knock" unless you are being stealthy.

We switched to a Trelino composting toilet in our van. In a word, AWESOME! My wife really loves this as opposed to the old luggable loo that we used before. I'll never go back to an RV black tank set up.

I’ve been in my van for roughly six months, and I’d still appreciate refreshers on the basics. Example is the toilet topic. I have this cool collapsible bag style toilet that was 29 bucks on Amazon. I never wanted to poop in a bag either, but about a month back I wound up with food poisoning at it finally happened 😂 I’ll be honest, it wasn’t nearly as bad as I thought it’d be. I learned not to fear the 💩 bag. Learning to plan your build is another huge topic. Do you actually need a sink? How much electricity? Layouts ect…

Here in the US many states are flat out banning urban camping in any capacity whether it’s in a vehicle or a tent or a homemade shelter. It’s ridiculous, especially when many of these vans cost more than the average studio apartment rent for 4 years.
