Great New Project in Bangkok. The New Benjakitti Central Forest Park has been under construction since October 2020. The plan is to open it in the first quarter of 2022.
I filmed the park last year and just wanted to give you an update. At the moment construction is not possible, the government restricted constructions to take place, to prevent the spread of the virus.
This park is just behind the Benjakitti Park. You can walk through Sukhumvit Soi 10. At the end of the street you can enter the Park.

I have heard many people say that the garden is very big Someday I have to go see for myself I really like saving trees like this Its really good It's refreshing to just look at it

I’ve seen quite a few parks in North America and Western Europe, I can’t think of anything I’ve seen on this scale or with this much sensitivity to biodiversity. Well done, Big Mango!

Bangkok to build 2 new parks that one in this video and another one nearby the old Bangkok which rebuilds from the old horse's racecourses. More green space for a big mango 👍🏻

A welcome addition to helping make Bkk more green. One challenge: the walking paths seem to be surrounded by plants, but not trees. Without the cooling effects of tree cover, not many people will walk there in the oppressive daytime heat and burning sun. I hope fast-growing trees will soon be planted to make the paths shady.

I think they're planting and growing more trees. The few big trees you see are already there before the construction while the new ones are just planted so it looks like they give the park just a few big trees. I believe in a decade or two the park will become much more shady.

the big trees you see around the park aren't planted in the construction, they are planted when the factory was build so they are in a striaght line along with the warehouses that used to be there btw I really love the lotus ponds

@@globaltravelmate Day 7 now..... but I must say that the food has been excellent, large portions, well prepared, and served in attractive containers (unlike many that I have seen on ASQ RU-vid videos). I would recommend for anyone coming to an ASQ to bring a laptop, or similar, as it really helps the hours pass quickly.

Wow, didn't even know this project had been thought up much less in place. Use to have my wife come in from Hua-hin when I returned to Thailand to stay a couple of days in Bangkok before returning home to Hua-hin. Loved running to the former big park through the tobacco warehouse district from nearby hotel on Sukuhumvit. Thanks for the great shots of the Benjakitti park and look forward to your next episode!

Nice update on the park It is such an amazing space and how lucky are you that you are getting to enjoy with no another sole in it. I have to say that I love the skyline if bangkok more and more, can't understand the aversion to building skyscrapers in dublin.

That looks great. My wife's uncle worked as a supervisor in that tobacco factory when it was open. She remembered going over there as a kid. She grew up around the Polo park, not too far away. The raised bike path is cool, or is it a running path? 🧘🏻❤️☮️

Nice park, that said, if Bangkok was serious about bringing nature back to the city, they would need to probably knock down at least a quarter of the existing buildings. The city is still too flat, it must go up like Singapore to vacate land for more green space.

This is why I love Bangkok. You can still do big things. In North America we can’t even get the drug addicts out of our parks let alone build a new park.
