This song reminds me of a girl I dated. I knew from the beginning that it was never going to last but I wanted to see if I could love her unconditionally and be able to let her go knowing that it was the right thing to do that she would have to go and find herself someday. She didn't know what she wanted and there was no point in trying to rehabilitate her or point her in the right direction she had so many ideas running around in her own head She didn't need anything from me so I just loved her unconditionally and then I set her free. I hope she finds her peace. I think this will always be my favorite song by The Bangles It's the only one I want to learn how to play myself.
The footage used is not of them performing "If She Knew What She Wants" in 2006, it's a footage of them performing the track in the year 2000. This is why Michael is playing with them.
Love love love the Bangles, and Susanna Hoff video for Eternal Flame melted many a young man heart……but for some reason My Favorite Bangles song was always this one.
Looks like an angel too. I couldn't believe how well she's aged...63 years old....with same beautiful smile and same beautiful shape. It's nice to see.
Spot on. Steele is keel of the boat. A heavy weight personality and a lady of sparkling substance. Of course she lies in the background, but boy, do I enjoy her presence.
How can such beauty by Susanna be more magnificent now than when she was 20 or so years ago? Beauty and voice. Amazing. Know I know who I really want...Susanna
I was of age back in the 80s listening to the Bangles, but the more I listen to them now, the more i appreciate how good they really are, great to look at, great to listen to, and great songs that just hold up.
In an era of heavy metal virtuosity, where you play an instrument to show off your ability, it's refreshing to hear musicians (note that I didn't say "female musicians") play in function of the song. Kudos to the sound engineers, the balance was perfect. Debbi's solid and nonexagerated drum line, Michael's cool bassline, Vicki's effective and melodic solos on lead that gave flavour to the song, and Susanna's rhythm on her signature Taylor Koa Accoustic that sounded so delicate, almost like wind chimes. The in crescendo leading into the bridge at 1:42, so understated but so perfect for the song. It all sounded so delicate and understated, turning Jules Shear's wonderful composition into a performance materpiece that just relaxes your ears. I know I sound korny, but I love it when the Bangles show, not only what great singers they are, but also the solid instrumentalists they are. Always better in concert.
I always liked listening to them, I loved their music. When I got to know them by watching their videos, I immediately fell in love with Susanna, but also with Micky, and now they are my two angels of music.
Right, the brilliance of Jules Shear ... he has some really wonderful acoustic work and has written songs for Cyndi Lauper, Aimee Mann and Til Tuesday.
Such an amazing song ... another Jules Shear gem ... am especially partial to Susanna's solo of this (2012)? She's incredible, but the song is pure pop delight.
En mi juventud pues soy de edad parecido a ellas las escuchada pero con el paso de los años me he dado cuenta lo grande que son volvieron y me enganché de nuevo ,no esta Michael pero no han perdido su frescor un aplauso grande para ellas

true words. I agree. It's good that the bangles are still playing, I like them very much. but they will never be as good as at this concert. without Michael Steele it's just IMPOSSIBLE ! She is (and she remains!!!) the best
@@ullischuster1263 No😣. I'd been so darn busy with work, I had to spend this past weekend at home, recovering. I've been up and down the coast, between Fort Bragg and San Luis Obispo, these past few months, but not so far as Del Mar. I wonder how they sounded? My guess is Susanna still looks great....you know me! Any word on how they were? Annette Z. do ok? Michael Steele sightings? All too early to tell, probably. You may recall my last try to get down there required a lot of last second planning.... I just couldn't swing it, again. Another opportunity missed, and Susanna just waiting for me...😂😂😂. Hope things are well, my friend. Oh...I'm handsome but keep that to yourself😂. Out here, I'm just Fred....read fast, 'cause that'll disappear, soon!😉
@@fredflintstone2958...I'll keep your secret :-) It's a pity that you couldn't meet susanna yesterday, but she will surely continue to wait for you :-) of course they played the hits but also some very old songs. as always it was too short, but they only got 1 hour for the gig. michael of course wasn't there and i can only say, i'll always miss her. but best you look at it yourself. jump to minute 4. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-E_Og7avDTFA.html
