I had just read the book, and it is overwhelming and hard to experience. I'm glad you're out, and I hope your family and everyone in WBC will turn away from their wickedness.

Acts 17:11 "Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true" That is exactly what Lauren Drain did. She was not just taking this cults interpretation of the Bible unquestionably. She was a Berean and not a Judas. That's also how I got out of the Catholic Church.

Well no, actually……..Lauren was desperate to keep her family and to get into her Parents’ (especially her Dad’s) good graces. But at the same time, she was being denied a normal life, and being utterly stifled of her natural teen needs, emotions and desires. It was an awful time for her, but somehow, she managed to pick her life up after her banishment. Her Dad turned into a nutcase, her mum followed suit, as did her siblings too! It’s dreadful how her family abandoned her and cast her out. Do they really think that’s what God would have wanted?!! 🤷‍♀️

Disgusting and inexcusable how her family treated her. I just read the part in her book where she sees her dad at the hospital where she works and he just looks right into her eyes and walks away, like she's a ghost. I really hope she is surrounded by love and validation now.

1Timothy 5:8 "Certainly if anyone does not provide for those who are his own, and especially for those who are members of his household, he has disowned the faith and is worse than a person without faith" The scripture says not to abandon your family or you are worse than someone who is not of faith. Sadly, no. The American Church is just that, AMERICAN. I stepped down as a pastor because even in the small country churches all you will find is mindless, faithless, loveless american version worship with a smile. So many directions to go with what you said but, those who know and preach the word here will NOT be accepted because we challange that the the power is not in the pastor, decon, or personal rightousness but in God alone!

it's not an opinion what i speak is truth and that's his word God hates the sin but loves the sinner. He loves everybody even you. no matter what you have done. God's grace is good he just wants everybody to come and repentance! Read Genesis Chp 19 and 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 Hope that helps you! Just speaking speaking God's truth! God bless you!

Jesus saw a woman being stoned to death because she was being accused of adultery and prostitution. suprsleep: How dare you rewrite and mis-advertise the Bible to suit your own conscience. Jesus is NOT all about "love". SEE Matthew 10:34 ("Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.") And what about the "loving" Luke 19:27? ("But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.") GROWNUP TIP: READ the Bible, the WHOLE Bible, THEN proselytize.

The only thing I can say is if you have actually read the entire bible the Westboro church is living what the book actually says to do! I know Christian's will be offended by this statement but they just have not read the entire book or they take it out of context to make it seem not so evil but too bad it is written in the bible for Christian's to act this way!

The only reason you claim that God "doesn't like same sex marriage" it's because you've been taught (NOT by God) that it's only supposed to be between a man and a woman. All any of us have is our interpretations of his word, and everyone is entitled to their own interpretations, but please do not come on here and talk about what God "doesn't like" because that, my dear, is an OPINION, not a fact.

Oh believe me Mrs. Phelps-Roper, in some ways I agree with you. I agree that homosxuality is a sin, and that we need to tell others about God. But your methods are flawed. I actually was planning to call your cult with 2 questions. Just two. I don't want to fight or argue, nor do I even seek answers. I just want you to think on these questions. 1. What makes you think, after 2 thousand years after Jesus' death, you and the rest of the WBC are the first ones to get it right?
