The facts that alot of us well that I don't know about personal finance is just overwhelming. Kids at school nowadays are learning this at school, wish I did, never know what I'm doing or what's to happen in future.
Thanks to you Martin i am doing exactly this the Halifax are really taking the mick now. they owe me nearly £700 in charges and they are charging me now for the charges and not allowing me to get my house in order by still hitting me with over the top charges. Like i mean £1.99 over an overdraft and charging me £35.00 plus further £28.00 for going over my overdraft and there is more where that came from. I have written to the bank using one of your templates so now waiting for their reply.
I did cause a scene in my branch of LLOYDS TSB. I cancelled a direct debit so that it would not bounce and incur charges. The other customers in the bank were very sympatheitic and thought I would be more likely to succeed if I co-operate with LLOYDS. They clearly have not had any dealings with bankers recently. LLOYDS TSB have taken more than ten thousand pounds off me and wonder why I am having tourble paying my loan. They want our money twice over to make up for their own incompetence.
i payed 500 quid back to natwest bank in bank chargers for going overdrawn with £9 back in 2007 can i Claim all this back???? i no longer have the details of my account im no longer in this bank
It makes me laugh really how these con artist banks can sit there and say no they are not going to refund any charges. But as written below i am going for it in fact i am going to go for the six years worth as they have charged me in the past so going to get those back to! Halifax the bank that likes to take more. Rip off merchants. Martin you are a star a real star i will be back here and tell all.
I really feel like standing outside the bank and shouting out loud to the people passing by if you have been charged get your money back and announce your site!! I bet the banks hate you. Good for you its about high time that we stood up for our rights. I really want to swear and curse but i will save my anger...
Lloyds TSB in the UK can and have done this to me. 1. GAVE ME AN OVERDRAFT OF £1,000 2. I REPAID ALL CHARGES ON THE ACCOUNT ON TIME 3. THEY REMOVED THE OVERDRAFT - FOR NO REASON 4. LEFT ME WITH AN UNAPROVED OVERDRAFT OF -£1,000 5. THEN THEY TRIED TO CHARGE ME £10 PER DAY CHARGES They still havnt explained why they removed it OR what the £10 per day charge is, rip off, they removed it and cant expect the customer to pay for their actions GONE TO YORKSHIRE BANK NOW DISGUSTING,I DIDNT PAY THE £s
Oh i forgot to say and a Happy Christmas XX no doubt to those who do pay up the banks will enjoy spending or wasting more of your hard earned cash and they will celebrate a real rosy Christmas while you are going to have to make some important decisions. Mine are already made i am completely finished. Its the end of my world but not the end of me. I'M GETTING OUT.
this is all well and good but if this is a tariff that was explained to you when you opened the account and signed in the agreement the bank has every right to let the charge stand if they decide to
