Dusting ourselves down after an inauspicious shellacking at the hands of Harthill last week, the Wheatley boys welcomed Worksop to HQ on Saturday.
We had Ani Suresh and Toby Smith back in the team as we took on a side fighting for their Champo survival, having been pushed down into the drop zone after our aforementioned defeat.
Expect a Bank Holiday hiding, unplayable round-the-wicket bowling and a Tongy tornado!

Great spell from Toby, great to see so many of his juicy balls ending up in the keeper's hands. Forgive such a camp analogy, all that bell ringing played havoc with my sensibilities. Luke is so elegant when he's on it, a lovely knock and good to see you back to winning ways.

What a turnaround from last week. Fabulous bowling from both openers. Toby might now bowl a little more round the wicket. Luke and Cal were superb bringing the team home with a very convincing win. Congratulations to all the team and thanks for the excellent commentary and camera work

Tongy was batting like he was receiving throw downs in the nets there, some glorious shots. The catch from Cal's offspin looks like hits the wk's boot and gently lobs up, out for me, not suprised umps didnt give it. What is the lad doing charging down to Toby...... was more certain the short ball was coming than tomorrow is Monday ! And if he hadnt got him out that ball, the next should been rite up the lads nose! Opposition might had a few young lads playing but can see why they near bottom of the league

Don't like to see that word 'hiding' in the title James! Tobes with a great spell, the win sealed by Tongy fireworks. You were lucky to get a game, many down south (Sanderstead, etc) washed out.

A punishing effort. Pecks, can you find out what brand those wide brimmed hats Tongy and the umpires are using? I spose I could use the google but what fun is that? I should add that the ball that got Kurt out was the best thing Worksop did all day!

What a good boy Tongy is! Less said about Toby's dark left arm arts the better though. 👿 Have you got Fly fishing by J R Hogan? If the season extends towards the backend of September, hoping to catch a game. If not, I look forward to meeting Señor Strimmer and Captain Church Bell later. Shout out to Eddie for making those boundary catches look easy.

Slightly disappointed at first as I thought you were going to recreate Monty Pythons hide n seek Olympics, read it before I cleaned me glasses ...suppose the cricket were alright though
