Do you need to pay taxes on US stock gains or premiums collected for selling options?

Good question Philipp! I do not pay taxes on capital gains in Galt&Taggart. The only tax you pay there is on dividends but it is not taxed from your side. All dividends are taxed at source.

Great content and nice video, congrats! Quick question, if I put money into TBC account to get 11% per year on fixed income or deposit receipts, do I need to pay taxes? Do you have any material/ video that shows how to submit or pay taxes to Georgian government?

Yes but you’ll need local income / assets or a fixed deposit in USD with them. Bank of georgia has AMEX cards :)

This was an excellent video. Thank you for all of the tips and information. I have an account at TBC bank in Tbilisi. I opened it just before the pandemic and I have not been able to go back. I have unsuccessfully tried to contact them to make my account accessible on my phone. Do you know if it is possible to do this without going all the way back to Georgia?

If you registered your online banking account with them it should be possible to log in. Otherwise you’d need to go there and set it up. You can also do this through Skype if you have a Georgian residency card.

How long do you have to be in Georgia before you can get a mortgage? Do they just look at the numbers or do they require a minimum waiting time to build up credit?

No minimum waiting time but if you have a good income statement it helps, if not they can give you the mortgage based on the future income from the rental property. You need 5 days to 4 weeks depending on you & your bankers speed. Good luck 🍀

If your income is from outside of Georgia and you are not paying taxes in Georgia and if the income is coming to your account in Georgia, would it be considered for SOLO purposes? In short, would income from outside of Georgia count for SOLO purposes!

@@sbadrawi2011a Hello, I can answer this question, I am Asian and traveling in Tbilisi, I opened an account in a Georgian bank and they gave me a savings card, then I wired 10000 USD for a fixed deposit, you can indeed become SOLOnumber (as long as you deposit more than 30,000 Lagiri, which is about 11,500 USD), but you are paying 20-80 Lagiri every month, which makes absolutely no sense if you don't live in Georgia
