Bankrupting Rhode Island was worth it! - Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning 

Pffff it only cost us like 100 million dollars. The government of Rhode Island will do anything, AND I MEAN ANYTHING, for a former Red Sox player.

This game is great. Who cares if an entire state went bankrupt? We have 49 others.

The setting is quite generic, yes. But there's a very rich backstory, and being a tryhard literature nerd, I actually liked the whole Ballads and Fae business. Too bad the intriguing writing did not extend to the main questline.

I still don't understand why they chose todd McFarlane as a designer. I love his art, but the game looks generic, or at least too much generic for such a big name attached to it. I bet there were cheaper artists that would have designed the game with the same quality for a lot less money.

yes its kinda cliche, but its like fantasy comfort/junk food cliche with some very interesting backstory and lore, R.A Salvatore did a lot of the writing and he did the Forgotten Realms books (D&D series of books) so it had a good fantasy writer for a lot of the lore and stuff. great video btw love your stuff and hope fiances clear up so i can throw down some pateron support!

I feel like the game suffered from 'alright music' in that it just isn't memorable or interesting, but is perfectly 'fine.' Doesn't leave an impression.

Speaking as someone from Rhode Island... I apologize. But also as someone from Rhode Island, I have this to add. All Curt Schilling at to do was just keep his trap shut and yet, he couldn't even do that. Welp! Funny how that all turned out in the end, huh?!

Love everything about this game and feels like it doesn't get enough props for what it did. The main quest was great in my opinion. Was it typical fantasy fare and revolutionary? No. But that's fine by me. Nothing's new under the sun. It's how you do it. And they nailed the traditional fantasy formula like a coffin. A lot of critics. Especially the professional critics. Say the side quest are nothing but fetch quest. That's true on a base level. There are plenty of fleshed out quest. And even the fetch quest have a backstory and motive to them that takes the tediousness out of it. Not to mention the rewards are great and the experience points and that quest taking you somewhere you might not have explored is worth it. Colin Moriarty from IGN at the time gave the best professional review I seen. I recommend it. So just to cap this off. This was there first game for this franchise. This was the foundation. Not many come out the game swinging like this. Elder Scrolls didn't. Since that's what most compare it to. And you can make the argument Dragon Age, the witcher didn't. And any other fantasy games first outing. Not saying it is, but the argument and discussion can be had. Imagine if we can get a sequel or a franchise. Especially with most of the old team

It's very generic, but when you like this genre of game, you take what you can get.

The atmosphere and art direction combined with the music always made this a nice stress relieving game.

Kingdoms of Amalur made the mistake of being "lore deep and story thin" also the gameplay was fun as fuck

I like it, even though the load times on PS4 are atrocious, It would be a great game if it had companions, a game like gwent and maybe some mounts to ride since walking can get very boring.

I really like this game, put a ton of hours into it in 2012 and have put about 20 hours into the remaster and am enjoying a lot more than I did before thanks to the QoL changes.

I loved this game and would definitely enjoy seeing you play more of it, as people have said it really gets going and has interesting stuff and characters in it's stories. But, ya know, I'll watch whatever you drop so you do you boo 😘

I had like three separate playthroughs that reach max level. Love this game and will be buying this soon.

People do say that the setting is generic and I can kind of see it in the sense that it doesn't take us some place that feels "new" in the way that a game like Morrowind did. I do think that there is a lot of unique stuff in how the races are presented and interact with the world particularly in the lore and worldbuilding aspects of the game but that's kind of stuff that you have to dig for so the game definitely loses points in not presenting it better to the players.

I heard this is selling well so it was well worth it

This game is such a good game that got fucked by a trash mission tracking system. I rarely got irrated so much in a good game that I stopped playing.

This remaster was such a disappointment, it was basically just a high-contrast update, and they didn't fix the underlying bugs it had, heck, some console players couldn't even play it on day 1 because of a massive bug they had to wait to get patched, it's sad that Crystal Chronicles' remaster offered a little more than this.

The game gets beaten around 100 hours if you do most sidequests

I don't think it's the game's fault but I just found it really generic and boring. I remember always reaching the part where you free the village from the spiders but no more than that. Though I find it a good alternative to the Fable games.
