Man Man is an absolute freaking masterpiece. Even if it makes you uncomfortable, you've got to give Devin at least some credit for just how talented he is as an artist.
It's a shame that God Eater is banned because, based on the showcase, it looks straight up phenomenal. It was truly a top-tier level decoration wise, but it got a cease and desist, which is very unfortunate.
@@clobzz Yes but actually no, the art that they where using in Woodkid was copyrighted from artist on Deviantart and ArtStation if i'm not miskated, and the thing was that they never gave credit ir pay for use of the artwork. I'm not 100% but it was something like that
Still pissed about what happened with god eater. I had no idea the original thing existed until the level, and they still banned the level. Props to terraria and calamity devs for not caring about people making fan stuff.

I have never sought out gore at all as I find it disgusting and I don't really have much tolerance to actual or fake real life gore and even then sometimes gore that looks actually fake still scares me.. Also poor girl I know its not real but geez.. :(

Might be an unpopular opinion here, but I think Man Man’s revolting nature is overhyped. I held off watching it for a long time in fear, and after finally pulling through I wasn’t really too startled. It’s a bit gross and gory, but I don’t think that it’s as nightmare enduring as everyone makes it out to be.

For God Eater/Astral Divinity, it seems like Knobbelboy had to change the name AND a few designs that referenced a few things in the background too 4:52 it might be a Bayonetta reference (in AD its a different design than in God Eater) 4:59 this is 100% A xenoblade chronicles reference, the 2 things in the background are the Bionis and Mechonis, basically very big Titans that people live on In AD, it's replaced with a Persona 5 styled decoration (also maybe referencing Mementos because there is a train going by in that part) 5:06 Another Xenoblade chronicles reference! This time from the sequel, the 3 swords depicted here are the Aegis swords (you may know the Aegis from Xenoblade 2 by Pyra and Mythra), top is Pyra's fire sword, bottom is Mythra's light sword, the third one in the middle is the Aegis third sword/form (its a bit spoilery, okay) And In AD, it's so funny to be because, yes, they removed the Xenoblade 2 Aegis sword in the background, but what did Knobbelboy replace it with? Another Xenoblade reference lmao, the Aegis swords are now replaced with Xenoblade 1's alternative Monado forms, hahaha (it's quite spoilery again, but the one in the middle in AD is the Monado's true form, and the ones on the top and bottom are the 2 god's swords basically)

Collab level is primarily jumpscares and unsettling atmospheres, Man Man literally has sections that imply murder and most likely sexual assault on a person, so yeah it's on another level
@@lkb08 tell that to the mortal kombat devs who watch gore videos to make the fatalities. one guy got ptsd from it. im not saying they shouldnt do it, im saying that they shouldnt be surprised when people question their mental health when you make brutal gore, because gore negatively effects people's mental health
man man had a pretty perfect song with it, kind of a deathcore type beat with insane kicks the whole time. i feel like a sound reminiscent of an Infant Annihilator song definitely fits

Dude, fully showing manman takes balls of steel, i remeber trying to show a video o it to my friend since i found out about the level the day prior and that video was just gone, taken of the platform, not sayimg anything about the videos quality however, this is a great video, thanks for the information on hese levels that are mostly lost to time
The levels Devin makes genuinely make me feel like I’m going to throw up, I’ve have not once felt disgust like that from any horror movie, but somehow red rooms and man man did, really shows how creative and artistic his levels are with the amount of detail, when a creator can instill that much emotion you know they’re good, even if I think the nudity and murders were a bit too much, it did what it was meant to do, inflict fear and disgust and he does those perfectly
@@omega97hyper24 I think it depends on your perspective, I have personally never found horror movies scary because of the fact I can easily tell myself it’s not real since the horror tropes have been done countless times, manman on the other hand is the the definition of pushing limits of what is possible in a game like this, it was less fear and more just disgust and unease looking at all the detail one person added to the level, in summery you expect the fear in horror movies so you can expect it, while for Devins levels all you have for the contexts of the games engine and reputation, and maybe a RU-vid video
It depends on your exposure to things. People who have seen similar content or who have seen bodies IRL won’t care. But in your case yeah, just be careful because desensitization is not a good thing. A curse and a blessing I suppose.
