I like to have some pantry ingredients on hand for a quick impromptu snack, for unexpected visitors or a guilty indulgence. My 4 Ingredient Banoffee Pies made in the Kmart Sausage Roll Maker are just one such irresistible treat, that will keep the banana industry in business forever!

INGREDIENTS:
1 sheet puff pastry
1-2 bananas
80g Coles Salted Caramel Topping
4 squirts of whipped cream
a dust of icing sugar optional.

Thank you Steve, I have a dear RU-vid friend who insists “if something can’t be used for a number of purposes then he has no use for it” I think this is a very handy thing to apply to any gadgets. These little light weight cheap appliances are so versatile. From chiko rolls to cakes and fruit rolls I have found them to be so handy. Perfect when you are travelling in a caravan because you can have a fresh baked cheap snack, using left overs and they take up very little room. Personally I think they are great value and you can be eating your meal in less time than it takes to preheat your power hungry conventional stove or oven. I really enjoy using mine and I’m sure you would as well. Thanks for the awesome feedback and for watching.;-))

Hi Cheeky...we have interacted before but thought I would let you know this story. I live in a retirement village and from time to time need help with my technology One of the ladies in here (80 years young and really with 'it') helps me. Recently Kmart had the sausage roll makers and pie makers on clearance (believe it or not for $5 each). I could not resist and bought three of the sausage roll makers (mad I did not get another pie makers as not happy with the one I have another brand) as gifts. Well, I gave one of them to my 80 year old friend and before I knew it I had an email from her (within two hours lol) that she had made your banoffe bananas (I gave her your addy). She was totally wrapped with the sausage roll maker and her first attempt. However, she did say she went a bit overboard with the caramel sauce :)

Hello again Pam, yes I remember our chats, great bargain on SRMs and what a kind soul you are to share your good fortune with your friend. I am in awe of people who are tech savvy, it must be wonderful to have such a wealth of knowledge available as technical Issues can be sooooo frustrating. Looks good, I was so inspired with this maker , I went and bought one from Kmart (NZ) Made my own sausage rolls but with store bought pastry. Going to try apple next. Diana

Good for you Diana, I didn’t think I would use it nearly as much as I do. Just yesterday I used a date cake mixture and these mini date rolls, great for morning tea but Fabulicious warm with icecream and a drizzle of butterscotch sauce for dessert. Terrific for a warm after school snack that won’t spoil the kids appetite for dinner. I hope you enjoy using yours as much as I love mine. Thanks for the great feedback and for watching. Pretty warm here too the pool water is 33 degreesC, not really refreshing but still good excercise. I’ve been cooking, swimming, garage saling, dog walking and spending time with my Mum. Even watched a movie, it was a good day. No fires near us here, thank goodness. Stay safe and make sure you have a good fire plan in place just in case. Thanks for the feedback.;-))

Just a thought, my inventive mind takes over lol, before you put the second later of pastry on, could you try putting a sheet of baking paper in between the pastry so you could separate into halves easier? just thinking outside the box.

Yes you could indeed, great suggestion Zendukai. I’m definitely giving it a try. Just wondering if the paper would interfere with the steam expansion puffing of the little pastry chambers. We shall soon know.lol thanks for another great idea.;-))
