I swear, I always get excited when I see that notification that there is a new video out! Unfortunately the dollar tree where I live doesn't have a freezer section, but I think I am going to go on a mission to find one near me that does! Oh and I am going to go to walmart right now and see if I can find that Buffalo Mac&Cheese lol!
Try the family sized shrimp scampi from Michael Angelo's. I know you tried the lasagna and eggplant parm but I used to eat the single serving sized one fairly often for lunch when I worked at a grocery store and I'm curious to see if the larger version cooks up the same. Personally I really like it and I think most frozen foods suck.
Try any condensed campbells cream of soup. They're surprisingly terrible quality for a large company and I'd be interested on what you have to say about them. I think their cream of broccoli is the worst personally.
I've eaten chicken fried steak with cheese. Granted it was leftovers. I made a sandwich with it. Either some toast or a large hamburger bun, piece of cheese, steak, with a couple spoon full of mash potatoes and gravy. Very good lunch.
Both of these bowls are DELICIOUS! I'm actually eating the mac and cheese one as I watch the review. For $2.08 at Walmart, these things can't be beat for a good quick meal.
Damn you, lol. Went to a local Wal-Mart. They were completely sold out of Buffalo Chicken Mac 'n Cheese. But they had PLENTY of Chicken Fried Steak. The Buffalo Chicken is sellin' like crack rocks.
I used to work at a grocery store overnights and my 1am break always consisted of Velveta Cheesy Bowls and nothing else because i wanted you to try all the meal bowls my grocery store had before I did xD
Wow, 2100mg of sodium that is my daily limit +. I remember when I didn't even care about sodium, then I had a heart attack at 43. A Canadian triple bypass (free) later and it is the only thing I care about now. I enjoy your reviews and am so glad I can't get most of this stuff in Canada.
Sup Larry, been watching your channel almost a year now. You do a great job (for us the people) lol. keep them coming plz. Glad to see your channel is doing good. You are part of the people.
Thanks man, I love watching someone review something I would actually eat. I enjoy a good steak now and then but for most meals I would eat Soylent green if it where real. My kid is a Span fan and loves the video showing you how to make your own.
It has all the cheap ingredients, water (it's watery), potato starch, and the meat is made up of stuff you harvest with a combine and mining machinery.
Yeah.. I don't really get why they do that. I've seen decent pre-prepared meals that used normal ingredients and weren't that much more expensive. I guess it's about shelve live? 2,18 isn't really that cheap either for what you're getting. I can get a very decent salad with chicken, cheese, pasta and dressing for about $3,50 here in the Netherlands. Which is still a lot more than what a self-prepared meal would cost.
It's hilarious that the word vegan turns adult men into 12 year olds. Seriously, without fail it always brings out the childish and unfunny jokes. I'm not even vegan or vegetarian for that matter, but these people probably are kids, but my point still stands.
I just LOVE!! That Buffalo Chicken and Mac n Cheese it make a very tasty Dinner but very slight or slight stomach discomfort but its very delicious \^w^/
I love how you comment on the sodium. I grew up on an Alabama farm, both parents were Greatest Generation; Dad fought the Japanese. Mom stayed home and waited. I came along late in their lives, youngest of seven that lived; I'm past fifty now, but I was raised with the idea that scarcity might recur, any day. My folks hoarded containers. We grew a 40 acre garden. We canned and slaughtered hogs, while my classmates were listening to the Police and the Fixx. I never ate a fast food hamburger until 1986. I didn't know it at the time, had no clue, but I was the lucky one. I think about that, often, that I used to have to ask, "Please pass the salt?"
Hey! Since you liked them, i picked up the Chef Ernesto veggie burgers yesterday. i will be trying the buffalo chicken mac next lol Thanks for letting me know what's good and what's not 😃💕
Ive tried both of them. I mostly get the 2nd one and its my favorite. I probably eat 1 to 2 a month. Another way ive tried cooking them is by empting the contents frozen in a pot and cooking it that way. I didn't have a microwave at the time and also didn't know about the oven part. For some reason I must have been on drugs. Because I never noticed that sodium!
I gotta say, that second bowl looked really good. I'm not a huge fan of ready-meals, but that looked super appealing for some reason. Even the cheese looked super elastic like in the pizza commercials, and the chicken looked decent too.
I've tried both of these. I do the microwave version then cover with bread crumbs for the country fried steak bowl and put it in the oven. I also added cyan pepper for more flavor.
To everyone who thinks this is not excessive, if you have accurate enough scales, go weigh out 5 grammes of salt right now (as table salt is only 40% sodium by weight, even less if one uses partially hydrated salts, like sea salt, fleur de sel, himalayan or kosher salts) and see just how much that is... it's at least three times as much as I use to feed a family of 4, not what I would use on a single snack portion.
What do I prefer Voice Over or in person? I enjoy the voice over when the food is the main focus. It is refreshing when you do come on and say hello also. :-)
I’m honestly amazed at the quality of that buffalo chicken macaroni and cheese. If you would’ve given that to me and told me it was banquet I would never have believed you if I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes.
I think isolated soy protein is a filler just like tvp. BTW, this whole 'bowl' trend is getting on my nerves. I want TV dinner type segregation of my meats and sides, dammit.
Soy is the cheapest filler there is and that's how Banquet can get the price so low. I'm allergic to soy but so are lots of other people, and some of them don't even know it. They wonder why they are sick all the time. Soy is in just about all prepared foods these days.
@@FormerRuling seriously. I hadn't noticed until you said that and I used to be the idiot kid that would get the biggest box because I'd think there was a ton of food in there. Now, I check the weight and I'm never let down.
The Mac and cheese bowl actually looks good.... and you’re right..... it should of had a brown, crispy crust baked on it. I like my homemade Mac & Cheese with a brown crispy crust on it 😋❤️
For some reason your videos stopped popping up on my feed so I came back to this and my god, I'm happy I did! I missed those snide comments while doing a review.
I really like these Mega Bowls for the price. They have a whole series of this new line, Mega Pot Pies, Mega Meals, Mega Deep Dish. The taste is definitely better than a regular Banquet entre. Try the Chicken Jalapeño Pepper Mac 'N Cheese Bowl. I don't over mix the bowl just leave it in for the whole time if you have a turntable in your microwave and then let it sit with top on for a couple minutes.
It's funny you mention them....I bought 2 to do a video on......drank a little too much one night and ate them! LOL They were good! I'll get more! Thanks!
+Ashley Redman Oddly enough, your comment popped up while I'm eating the Banquet Mega Bowl version of the KFC bowl. Chicken nuggets instead of popcorn chicken, but other than that, it's basically the same. It's cheaper, and, I think better, than KFC.
I just had the CFS bowl for lunch today, and it was pretty good! A little soupy, but I added a handful of shredded cheddar to it and it worked out alright. Worth the price imo, but not something I would eat all the time.
Which is basically what that steak one is. They also have a chicken one that is almost exactly a low-rent Famous Bowl. It's not bad, though it's definitely no Famous Bowl.
Since we're talking substitutions, if you've never tried it, you should go on the day they do chicken fried steak and order a Famous Bowl with white gravy.
In would do that, but Mac and Cheese is a regional thing here. I swear to the Lord almighty we've had mac and cheese at Hawaii KFC a total of 3 times in ten years. The only substitute we have is Bob Evans microwave one that more or less tastes the same.
I love your videos. They are great. I recommended it to our nephew and our friend John. They both love your videos. Our nephew comes in and tells me about your new videos that come out. We think its funny when ya call Dollar Tree your own personal adult playground.
For the steak bowl don't stir it all together. Give it minimal agitation for the first stir and the potatoes will stay much creamier and the gravy thicker. Just a tip.
