Thank you very much for the video. I learned a lot about what is inside the radio. I have a Baofeng BF-F9V2+ that does not transmit on the 144-148 MHz range. I was thinking there might be two RF output transistors, one for VHF and one for UHF, but your video showed only one transistor. So now I must look for another cause.
Thanks for the video. The tip fell off the end of a 3.5 mm jack I plugged in and so I took out the board and with a long needle pushed the broken tip out. Put it back together and then the screen was not working properly, missing segments. It took me two hours to get the screen working again correctly! The led snapped off, but I didn't resolder. And twice the speaker wires, but I did resolder those! Tricky job and only £20 for a new radio, but good to fix it!
@@Racov exactly! It's working again. I like to repair things. I never saw the hot tip of a jack plug come off before. It was very difficult to get it out of the socket. A very very thin needle with a bend and I got it out!
Thank You! There are millions of Baofengs with very poor quality of potentiometers. For 99,9% it is the end of its life.

Hey man, thanks for the video, very useful. Would you happen to know what is the preset R value of the trim potentiometer that you show at 4:30 ? And what it calibrates in the circuit ? Thanks
Hey Maqpeez. It’s nothing magic or secret. It takes a lot of patience and precision. Plus, I cleaned the rubber graphite conductor and the LCD contacts with isopropyl alcohol. It always help.
have a radio station baofeng I have a problem two meters is fine at a greater distance I hear a hundred words but when I speak I do not hear what the problem
Hey Viktor. I'm not sure I understand. When you transmit, no-one seem to hear you? When you press PTT, the radio indicates the transmission (red light ON) ? If not, then the PTT switch might be defective. If yes, then it might be the power transistor faut (that's bad). The antenna seems to be OK, since you have good reception.
@@Racov so the red light indicator lights up on me but does not give a signal to other colleagues at a great distance we listen but they do not hear me and I listen to them I changed and another antenna is the same again
It could also be the microphone. Can someone tell you if their reception opens (SQL open) but they can't hear your voice? Can you try using the handsfree headset of the radio, see if this microphone works. If this doesn't work, then the power transistor is burnt, and that's very bad
@@viktornoev8523 I had the same problem. Change the antenna. I opened mine and find a capacitor broken. As it was the series signal path, of course was only able to hear it from really small distance.
