Thanks, Mike! Looks like a nice campground! I would recommend Quechee Gorge State Park in Vermont. I just came back from a few days up there. You can hike the trails and go to the bottom of the gorge, you can stand on the bridge on Rt 4 and gaze down at the river, there is a visitor's center, a couple of small restaurants, ice cream shop and a big shopping area with a large antiques shop! All this is within walking distance of the campground! Large forested sites, no hookups but there is a dump station. Very quiet at night, generator use is limited to 8-10 am and 4-6 pm. This was my first dry camping trip! I loved it! Keep on keepin' on!
I agree, Queechee is awesome. Stayed there last year. Hiked down trail to take a dip. Also went to antiques Mall. Unfortunately I didn’t have enough video for a vid. Guess I’ll have to go back! All the best!
Mike it's 27ft Forest River Lexington B plus with one slide and 46k miles. I shopped for a couple of months. Nice old school furniture for a old school guy Stay well
Good video but i wish you would have done a proper walk through of the tent sites. Are there totally shaded tent sites with electric and water, or are they all primitive?
Thank you for watching. Good point. I shot the video through the RV user perspective hence its content. As to your question, there are a myriad of tent sites. Most have a water source nearby. As for electric, I don’t know. Feel free to call the campground office. All the best!
Hey Mike. Just thought I'd let you know that I got rid of my 2021 Jayco redhawk 24B because of poor manufacturing and lack of dealer support. I will add they bought back my unit. I Purchased a older motorhome from private seller. Stay well and another nice video.
John. I guess it’s sorry to hear of the problems but congrats on the purchase. I hope ya stay tuned and stay well and that you are now “trouble free.” All the best!
Thanks for your review!! What time of the year were you at this campground. We are planning on coming on a Friday at the end of July and wondering if we would have a problem getting a site. Should we arrive early in the morning to secure a site? Thanks!!
Hi and thanks for watching. I was there just after the 4th of July. It’s first come first served so anyway to get the advantage is a good thing. All the best and good luck!
I got there around late mid morn. I will say this: it’s a beautiful area. Let me know when you’re going, I am headed back so, I’ll try to time my visit with you guys if you’d. Like
@@ChippersIslandAdventures we are in the planning process right now. My wife is retiring in August and we are wanting to take a retirement trip. Again, your video was very informative.
Be aware that this campground has been sold to Modern American Campgrounds. All bets are off, 7 night minimum, reservations required, and considerable rate increase. Many very unhappy Mainer’s. Read current reviews of other campgrounds owned by this company- not a pretty picture painted.
Luckily I saw this post because a few weeks ago I wrapped up planning for a September trip and this was our first stop for 2 or 3 days knowing that we could just float in with good odds of landing a site. The mom and pop campgrounds are almost all gone.
@@ChippersIslandAdventures just saw their website is redone and stamped Modern American on the homepage. Says make a reservation and showing $68 per night on water/electric sites.
