This was around the year my junior high class visited the LBJ library for a field trip, me and some buddies were running around acting like junior high kids and we got separated from the rest of our class,, while we were running back to catch up with them we ran out a door and nearly ran down this black lady in a wheelchair and the guy who was pushing her. A few minutes later we caught up with our class and this lady pulled up and talked with our teacher, I was certain she was about to rat us out cause we nearly ran her down, instead the teachers gathered us around her and Barbara Jordan graves us an impromptu speech about the importance of education. When she got through we all applauded and she was wheeled away. I thought the way she spoke was awesome, so clear and authoritive. Made a big impression on me. Very awesome lady!

I bet you are sad to see the direction the Democratic party has embraced. It has totally changed and not for the good.

I am the mother of a child with MS. I never knew she had it. Barbara Jordan has always been my heroine. Any time I am to choose a hero it is simply no one other. I am guilty of having known few facts about her until tonight. I now can imitate my hero with more facts than just her and the Watergate hearings with that commanding voice. That voice ,That voice, That voice.May she rest in piece until he returns. I will be Barbara Jordan again this Saturday. I thank God for her. Thanks to her friend Max and the LBJ. Library I found on RU-vid I know so much more about her life now.

I think Prof. Jordan would have said that OUR BEST SELVES were indeed, good enough for her. If we lived those lives. May we never forget her.

Amazingly wise and eloquent. The more I hear her, the more I am in awe. What an avant gard. She is everything a leader should be. We are not good enough for someone like her.
