Thank you I love you , you give me strength because I am a hostile about this state of the black nation as well. Truth is hard for many to bear but I love it. God bless you.
The younger generations don't see the big picture. They think that brutal, genocidal, racism is a thing of the past. They think that integration is good thing. They think that it is about merit, talent, race, class, money, and networking. What a game is being run on them.
This is 2022 and interracial relationships are being heavily encouraged in this country. Social media is filled with Africans that are married to European people so much so the NBA is being called the National Biracial Association. The powers of the Caucasian persuasion is deliberately getting people to ignore the history of the atrocities that the Caucasian people have done to POC’s in America and across the world. They are working over time highlighting small drops of Black people and Caucasian people so called getting along but also separating Black couples from each other by using propaganda to manipulate our beliefs in each other. POC’s will plan 5 years Caucasian people plan 20 years in motion, they play the long game. America is involving itself in a war to help the new Caucasian racist immigrants who will build their count back and hate Black people just as hard as the rest of the immigrants that come to this country to feed off of us and vote to take away our rights as citizens through voting. Watch how fast they become American citizens and join the voting process.
@mikefan09 This study was conducted in am major metro area. The applicants applied to different low wage paying jobs. They released similar resumes, had similar physiques, were trained to have the same mannerism. Skin color was the only difference besides the white men having criminal backgrounds. Yet black men had HALF a chance at getting hired. There are MANY studies very similar to this yet Americans continue to claim "not racist". Then, what's going on??!!!!
How is she not a Black historical figure? I never heard of thus woman until the other day watching another video from the nineties. It's interesting to SEE people grow older. Its about to be 2019 ; does anybody know if she's still alive?
This is another beautiful black being who knows the black journey.tell the truth wmrs Sizemore.love hearing her speakforever.wonderful job.love to meet her in gain more knowledge from a queen
@mikefan09 But despite HOW she said it or to whom she was discussing about instead, take into consideration WHAT she said. She mentioned a study at North Western I believe. There is also a study conducted by Devah Pager (2003) where she found that black men, applying to low wage jobs, have HALF a chance at obtaining the position against white men WITH CRIMINAL RECORDS. The black men did not have criminal records.
@mikefan09 the test was created to show how black men are discriminated against solely on the color of their skin. As Americans, we all know that individuals with criminal records have hard times finding jobs, even low wage paying jobs. So, for these employees, in New York City, a place where America loves to claim diversity are choosing white men with criminal records OVER "colored people" or black men w/o really emphasizes how skin color is a factor when applying/ interviewing for a job.
@mikefan09 Whites often misunderstand black people when we are discussing racial matters. We often say "white people" (though not meaning every single white person) just referring to the unconscious thought that many Americans have. Its interesting to see, hear or read the ways many whites view or hear what blacks say and take it so literally when black people are discussing institutionalized racism many whites tend to get very offended.
@mikefan09 Also, I want to emphasize that this study was not just conducted on two individual applicants to one employer. It was conducted by several different white/black applicants to many employers all over New York City. I suggest you read the study yourself to really under it. Its a very popular study as well. Just google "Devah Pager, The Mark of a Criminal Record". It should pop up.
May this beautiful woman always rest in peace!!! I encourage all to search RU-vid for this woman's message to black ppl years ago!!! Entitled Black People Just Don't Get It!!!!
I was married to a white and have 2 mixed children. Im just trying to figure what i tell my children when they grow up and have to face some of things i had to face. They have friends and of course amongst people racism is hard to point out. When it comes to economic survival of the group is where you see it. As a whiet person having black friends and not really much power to change the situation anyway, how do you see and feel about these collateral damages to of society to black people ?
it depends on 1. what they look like people will judge them by the amount of blackness. then the content of their character- hopefully you will have stayed around long enough for them to develop a love for their blackness. understand their history is greater than what they learn in school and then hope they will raise good 1/4 black or 1/2 black children being in a minority is not the only thing it is having control of what happens to people you identify with and love.
@Amunet369 Its crazy isn't it. I have an aunt who gave her daughters "Hispanic" names. Though I use that loosely because they are COMPLETELY made up names. One daughter she named Tequila. (lolz). She said that she gave her daughters "Hispanic" names because she didn't want people judging them based off of their names. Because Hispanics aren't discriminated against, right. She said that ppl will judge black names and assume that you are speak proper english.
I have realized that racism is a lot stronger in the USA than it is here (Britain). Like you said they are discriminated against economically as well as socially and it is scary that people can still think like this in the twenty first century. I think it has gotten a lot better, and in time racism will die out. Like I previously said this woman has got it pretty much spot on, we need someone to stand up like Martin Luther King did all those years ago now, to point out the wrongs in scoiety.
sad, technically, anyone in a religion who finds they are praying to a God who is all-powerful, etc and does not look like him or her, but rather looks like a member of the dominant society; is a victim of racism. now let's see, how long has that been going on?
WOW! i remember during my college years a black women who worked there told me the exact same thing! she said she just had a granddaughter and her name was "ashley" and she specifically said that no one was going to look at her granddaughter's job application and know that she was black! smh.....the results of being a conquered nationless people....smh
how about getting an education to under (overstand) a subject and operate a business? the people she is talking about were not EMPLOYED they were working for black institutions now a person can be FIRED and DOWNSIZED
@MsLaNatural i see, from this it still seems floored because the test basis should be on equal footing, so no one should have had criminal records or they all should have, the same crimes too. this implies a result bias, expecting discrimination against colored people. but one study in one place for a few employers does not make the whole country racist. at the end of the day we cant scientifically prove it. we can just reach a general idea of national sentiment n behaviour/culture.
@MsLaNatural but ultimately yes, there is a great deal of racism. and white superiority is a fact of life, the norm. lets work in reality people. wotever it is make the best of it, or try change it from the inside. there should also be focused study on culture and views of powerful white groups such as ceo mentality, power workers like high government employees attitudes to race n racism, senators etc people with influence. end of the day its there, it powerful, fight it yes!
She got pretty much spot on, however I do feel that the new generation is far less racist, not to say it doesn't still exist. I'm white, one of my best friends is black, but its never even been a topic of discussion. WHy would it? Its the older generations that still have that in built racist slur.
