Man! Wise elders are like an oxygen tank when this world gets so polluted that I don't think I'll be able to breathe again. I miss them being around and available when times are really tough.

I can relate to that, one minute Im drawing like always did with my talents and the next thing I know Im drawing these rich detailed anime characters and then before I knew it, I drew at least a sixty page graphic novel and im this close to getting my graphic novel published and possibly relased into stores. It doesn't matter what place in the world your in or what people you come from. Every child can use some wisdom with love from someone like Della.I was lucky to have lots of older people that took time to help me through life. The thing is I was smart enough to slow down and take the time to listen. I'm white and my parents taught me learn good thing's from everyone and about everybody we never cared what color rich or poor. Just enjoy good people. If I saw her today just like when I was a kid I would want to hug her.
I love the spirit of this lady. What a monumental achievement and contribution to society by her. Great Humanitarian. Starting life with according to her own saying wearing shoes stuffed with newspaper so her feet will not get cold to mesmerising hundreds and thosands of her listeners to her songs, to studying to become a ordained minister.and to having her own church and guiding people from the pulpit. !!. Amazing grace. This is all a mother can do to a child. Della describes her mother to be religious person. Della became a great humanitarian herself. If a child develops to be good human being I give credit to the child but equally if not more so the parents.. She developed MARVELLOUS skills in her of singing , comedy and acting and she used it for common good.she showed how to be optimistic while being a reverend in Church and on the television show " Touched by an angel , she did preach again how to be an angel of help to your fellow human being. All praise is to God for creating a human of this Heart and Mind a CITIZEN of the world. Muslim Youth need to think and get benefitted from her example and advise. Muslims these days are treated as second class citizens many a times, but need to learn to kick the door open or windows open or both by the WILL of GOD.
Deeply respect Della. She is telling the truth and I miss her not being here. But, can you just imagine Della in Heaven? I think it is an awe inspiring sight. And her service to God has to be unique and special, just like her! Love you Della! This is one of my favorite clips on RU-vid. Succinct, profound and inspirational. The part about trusting God says it all. I do have one critique though. At the 1:02 or 1:03 mark Della talks about "Oprah making enough money to feed the African children". I'm sure Oprah, like many millionaires and billionaires has given generously to SOME African children, but NOT all African children are starving with bloated bellies and flies swarming around them ( a stereotypical image of African children consistently shown by White media). Trust me, I've been to over 30 African countries. Out of the 1,810 billionaires in the world, 12 of them are black. 9 are AFRICAN and 3 are African American (Oprah Winfrey, Robert Smith and Michael Jordan). 5 are Nigerian. Nigerian cement tycoon Aliko Dangote is still the richest black person in the world by far with a fortune estimated at $14.4 billion, down from $15.7 billion last year. Even Aliko Dangote who is by far wealthier than Oprah Winfrey, Robert Smith and Michael Jordan combined, cannot "feed the African children" by himself; so we need to correct this image of Africa as a 'helpless' and 'dark' continent. Africa, with her 54 countries, is the RICHEST continent on the face of the planet and will inevitably overcome exploitation to become an economic powerhouse. Della's advise is still 'legit' though.
