My quest for Barbel & Chub continues, during my annual fishing holiday based at the Mill Cottage in Eardiston, on the River Teme.
A pleasant evening in very sunny conditions in a swim on a 'Mudstone Pavement', which is a very popular spot when the river is low enough to scramble down the high bank and fish from the 'beach'!
A chance to perhaps bag a Barbel & some Chub and delight in the wildlife that you may encounter here.
This draws to a conclusion my recorded efforts from this year's Teme holiday.

Another enjoyable video Nick. A nice barbel and a cracking PB chub, well done! Like the River Kennet the Teme has got a lot tougher for barbel over the last few years. When you pulled the rods in earlier in the video as you had ‘ visitors ‘ approaching I was expecting a couple of canoes to put in an appearance rather than the swan family! Most of my barbel fishing the last couple of years has been on the Wye, Trent and the Severn.

Harry, glad you are enjoying the videos. I've fished the Wye (Symonds Yat & Hereford) and done reasonably well from there - previous PB Barbel from SY! Never fished the Trent though. Hope to get out on the Severn, in the coming weeks before March 14th, if the weather and levels improve. Tight lines for 2023 🎣.

A week's fishing on the River Teme draws to a close with a session on the popular Mudstone Pavement - a swim I haven't fished for quite a while. A few firsts for me this week including a PB Barbel (earlier in week) and a PB Chub (in this session). Also had an 8lb Mirror Carp, which I failed to record 🙁 earlier in the week and caught a decent Grayling (on a piece of meat!). Some fantastic wildlife to be seen along these stretches, which you'll see some of in this video 😊.

Another great video Nick. we have fished that stretch a couple of times now. lovely spot. Nice deeper hole down by the overhanging trees. I think there might be some nice fish down that area. Great result for you on the Pb chubb👌

Thanks Matthew - an enjoyable week's holiday but plenty of blanks too. Hope you manage a few sessions before the weather really turns bad! Just back from fishing the Severn but only managed Dace, Roach and a Perch - no Chub or Barbel 🙄🤷‍♂.
