The opening of the 2023 river season was not what I had expected! It turned into one of those days where everything goes wrong, from the smallest thing to complete disasters, the culmination of which was me falling into the river twice in only the first 3 and half hours!! Totally destroying my phone, bank cards, banking fob, a new pack of cigs and 50g of bacca - luckily the car key survived! By half 9 I packed up and went home soaked to the skin with one small Chub to show for my effort.
I left it until the 19th to return. This is a video from that day. Fishing a really tight snaggy swim I managed to winkle a few out. Hope you enjoy.
