I returned to the same stretch of River Trent as previously where a Beast of a Barbel Smashed my Landing Net. Tackle used = Korum 12ft 2lb Barbel Rods, Korum Kxi 80 Freespin Reel, Shimano DL 6000RA Reel, Korum River Tripod Rod Rest.

Think you're due some new reels, those Korums sounding a bit agricultural 🙂 Okuma Aventa Baitfeeders in 6000 size are perfect for Barbel and i'd highly recommend them. 👍

It's illegal to eat fish from rivers in the U.K and you wouldn't want to, without leaving anything you caught in a bathtub of clean water for a week, emptying and refilling every day anyway.
