This was the movie that convinced 10years old me to be a fashion designer, guess what… I’m in Uni doing fashion design, best and worst decision ever made.
Also the parents: "Child, speak your mind politely and respectfully to us as we are your parents. You are not a toddler/child anymore, so you should voice out your opinion if you don't like what is being said and we'll respect it most of the time."
I like this movie because it kind of intertwined most of the Barbie movies. They were just Barbie’s acting roles. Adding in characters from previous movies, like the evil lady from “Island Princess” and the old lady instructor from “The Three (Four) Musketeers” was brilliant. It’s like they were acting together again 😆
I love that this movie is legit her acting and her role is an actress😂 Tbh the whole Barbie movies being Barbie as an actress will never fail to impress me
I just rewatched this movie and honestly even now in my teens this was a great watch. It's just such a comfort movie for me that always makes me happy and brings me way back.
The amount of reused characters in this movie lmao there’s even the villain from barbie the mermaid tale, who’s is the woman who goes into the store and buys the dress 😭
They did Ken so dirty. He literally did nothing wrong and Barbie's friends literally were like "Nah, you gotta make it up to her, because Rrrrraquel did a thing."

I remember watching this movie and being shocked that they properly acknowledged Barbie as an actress for her movies. I know the movies with bloopers are her acting and some are of her telling stories which I always liked. I didn't like this movie as a kid, but "Life is a Fairytale" is such a bop.

But wow it was one of my biggest shocks back then to know that all fantasy Barbie movies might just be her acting in them .. I really wish they'd have continued with the actress theme but it's like they completed forgot about it after that lol
That feeling when you realise: every movie barbie claimed to act in (or were mentioned) were actually ones where she was being voiced by a different actor than this movie

I think in Fairy Secret he was with Barbie during the red carpet soo he also acts (but idk how that works in Fairy Secret since the fairy things seem unreal)

All her movies are fake the titles are all "barbie IN mermaida" or "barbie IN princess and the pauper" etc but I think the vlogs on her youtube channel are real, and barbie dreamhouse was like reality tv
Technically barbie didn’t lie though. 1. Its not possible the same person has so many different lives 2. Shes an actor 3. There are bloopers to every (i think) barbie movie

This movie inspired me to be a fashion design so much that I book a sketchbook and just draw clothes all day long. Now, I'm a wreck and recalled this fondly.

Yeah until this movie I had no idea that Barbie was supposed to be an actor. I usually just ignored the Barbie in/as part of the title and I did always think it was weird but I figured it was just to advertise the Barbie dolls or smthing, and for the bloopers thing I thought it was just like an extra, like how they included acted bloopers at the end of Toy Story 2
This used to be my favorite Barbie movie, I had the doll and her dress changed just like in the movie, it was awesome, I forgot it was actually this funny, plus the editing is amazing
I LOVE how this movie follows Barbie as an actress because if you haven’t noticed the whole gimmick of this film series was Barbie starring in different movies
Barbie never lied! Barbie is an actress who starrs in many movies, the title card always says "Barbie in (insert movie title)" this is not a movie starring barbie, this is just barbie's life
its confusing though because this is called "barbie in a fashion fairytale" and its in this movie that she meets the other fashion designer who turns out to be a fairy in the barbie fairy secret movie.
Well u r right about that. But I remember Barbie saying she did this fashion movie in Paris in one of her movies with her sister. I think it was some Christmas movie with her sisters. So probably Barbie's movies with her sisters r her actual life movies.
This one was always my favorite simply because I could never find it online. I only had good memories of it as a child, so nostalgia made it my favorite.
