The studio: "we need to give them a love interest or something" Designer: "here is one!" The studio: "we need two!" Designer: " oh.... okay.... then you'll need to pay me for another design for the second love interest" Studio: "nevermind, they're twins!"
And then they didn't even use them as love interest because the story they had already written was way too interlocked with the two of the girls being literal soulmates for the Bois to have any chance of anything so instead we got amazing and hilarious actually interesting make characters
I WAS OBSESED WITH THIS AS A KID I LEARNT ALL THE SONGS OFF BY HEART AND THEN DANCED AROUND MY GRANDMA'S GARDEN SINGING AND DEAFENING MY NEIGHBOURS **MEMORIES**
I feel like everyone either loves the twins or wants them to conveniently disappear out of thin air. I actually really like them. They’re some of my favorite Barbie movie love interests lol
I’m actually really split on them. I love their characters, I think they’re funny and caring, but I don’t like them being love interests, I’d prefer it if they were just friends with the girls (mostly because I ship Lianna and Alexa but…🤣)
*the most deadass eyes I looked upon* Those dogs were the scariest creatures out there, the dragon was the least terrifying thing in the whole movie ironically. Just my opinion.
Even as a kid, I low-key used to support Alexa with her whole "why can't somebody else do it?" Like, girlie, look at that house, look at that closet, look at that FOOD. I'm staying.
this movie was literally my childhood, and the only thing i remembered was “ If i could wish for one thing, it be the smile that you’d bring, wherever you go in this world ill come along.” BECAUSE I USED TO SING IT ALL THE TIME THERE SONGS WERE SO AMAZING
I never noticed the two side characters! The fact that the animators even bothered to make a whole story in the background with them is hilarious but awesome. Making me wanna watch this again just to see if there's other stuff I missed! Oh yeah also highkey the barbie movies had some great bangers honestly
True, which is why it annoys me that people ship the two girls if they were together or had any feelings for each other they wouldn't have danced with the boys etc.
@@Graceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Bruh.. Dancing with the opposite gender doesn't make a person straight. Also, if I recall correctly, didn't the two girls just leave the two dudes and go back to their cottage at the end of the movie?
One thing I love about this film; normally in children's films especially in Barbie, the characters you used to absorb as villains or unlikeable characters might turn into the right ones. Or the protagonist might be wrong most of the time and you don't see that until you watch it as an adult. In this film, there is no point that Alexa is right. Yeah, she's unwealhty and offered to have a very wealthy life but she sacrificed her friendships for it and considered betraying Melody, someone she had promised to help. So that is a good message I think.
ah yes, two girls who live together in the forest, sing to each other about how much they love each other and decide to take a rainbow bridge back home instead of being with the hot guys! they sound like great gal pals, really close friends!
Can we take a moment to appreciate that the boys went on this adventure with them. Usually they seem like they're playboys but they actually put up with all the stuff the girls were going through lmao
Just a reminder that someone went to an animation school for years, spending countless hours honing *their skills to animate and render two dogs dancing...
Ah yes. Thinking of making a whole wholesome movie about hard/sensitive subject to touch the heart of society to graduate, having reality check that we as human need money and work to animate a dancing dog, with two feet. Yup 💀👍✨
@@katherinelynch4193 I know haha. It’s actually such an intense barbie movie. I was terrified of it as a kid. After editing it “funny” I felt like “hmm I’m portraying this quite different to how it actually is...” lol
No, but it was one of the best Barbie movies ever. My sister and I loved it so much. I still watch the old Barbie movies (Diamond Castle, Princess and the Pauper, 12 dancing Princesses) from time to time and it just makes me happy. These films were everything to me when I was growing up.
Freaking loved this movie for years! I’m 17 now and I just watched it today. Will forever be in my heart. But the dragon barging into their home from the sky and the dancing dogs traumatized me 😄
I had this movie on DVD and it is still one of my absolute favourites, only topped by the Twelve Dancing Princesses, I can sing every song from this by heart even after all these years, and those dogs are demons from hell
Honestly the combo of their pure chemistry and the fact that the twin love interests have the personality of white bread make this the gayest Barbie movie.
When you watched this so many times as a kid that you know the context even though it’s out of context Wait why do those puppies always look like they’re high?
This used to be my favorite movie growing up. I always loved the dogs, and somehow, I still do! I also love the song so much.. I’m surprised with how much I still remember, haha.
If you watch a few Barbie movies back I can 100% guarantee that you will find many re-used models xD The model in question also looks a bit like Wenlock from 'Barbie and The Magic of Pegasus', but without the mustache and just fuller hair!
@@orderofbliss6472 it was HILARIOUS to me I just couldn’t stop laughing and the music that matches their little dances made me laugh even MOREEE😂😂🤣🤣😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
