I'm unable to attend any Barbie conventions because they are almost always held on the east coast. ( I live in the west coast) Maybe next year I'll get lucky.

No, not true. While there are a TON of Skippers, Bubblecuts, etc. floating around, the #1-#3 ponytail Barbie dolls are incredibly rare in great condition. Condition and rarity is where the value lies.
