Barceloneta is a neighborhood in the Ciutat Vella district of Barcelona, Spain. It is situated on the Mediterranean coast, between the neighborhood of El Born and the Olympic Village. The neighborhood was constructed during the 18th century for the residents of La Ribera who were displaced by the construction of the Ciutadella fortress.
