They would make a good pair. After all, ryze is trying to lock away the world runes and bard sends them away where they dont do harm. This would end ryze’s mission after centuries.
Considering Bard travels around Runeterra and adopts the clothes he can find, couldn't the skins be understood as different forms Bard took depending on the place?
Well he doesn't adopt the clothes he finds just lying around. He got his body out of quickly stealing some weird trinkets from a weird merchant and just used it ever since. And besides, I really doubt he would find a high tech astronaut suit just lying around.

@@Vizible21 but you forget that hard isn't usually seen like those two, bard can only be seen in the rarest times in when something is out of balance, he is a neutral being so nobody would really know about his characteristics, while kindred and fiddle is more all around, fear and death is known through out the world but bard can only be seen when things are unbalanced and that's like 1 in a thousand years

I definitely think Necrit is wrong about the world runes part. If Bard was also trying to deal with world runes then there almost definitely wouldn't be minimum 4 left, and it's implied the 5th one is still out there since otherwise Ryze wouldn't have anything to do. We also clearly see from Bard's very cinematic that he deals in other artifacts than world runes. And there's basically no reason to assume he's going for specifically world runes. So Bard is likely dealing with dangerous artifacts in general or another specific kind of artifact, not world runes.

I don't think Riot will ever make A Twist of Fate and A New Dawn canon. They're too outdated and make no sense lore wise. A New Dawn literally takes place on the rift, and characters that would never meet fight with each other. Also, Nautilus is WAY BIGGER than in the cinematic. The locations in A Twist of Fate make no sense at all. Twisted Fate seems to be standing outside a city that slightly resembles Piltover, but the ruins is leaning against look almost Demacian. I'm sure that you couldn't see Piltover from Demacia, and even if, what would Twisted Fate do in Demacia when he uses magical cards. Garen and Katarina fight in a place that looks almost Ionian. Why the hell would they be in Ionia? And just when Garen is about to kill Katarina (which he wouldn't do, and we all know why) Tryndamere (in a non-canon skin) steps in and defends Katarina. Why would Tryndamere be in Ionia too and why would he defend Katarina? Then suddenly Annie appears (why is she here?) and then a Void creature appears which means the world will end. Thanks Lissandra, you did a good job not waking the watchers!

Yeah, I thought celestials/aspects where inherently good. Aka, lawfully good. Like for example, even Kayle as the Aspect of Justice is an incomplete form and ergo corrupted form. Just like Morgana's compassion can be a poison, smiting/killing all the "impure" doesn't allow for change and bettering of humanity. Hell, people are terrified by Zoe and yet, she's also good. She's the embodiment of change/chaos and freedom and yet, she loves us and wants to live with humans. Sure she's destructive by nature, but she always brings a brighter future from the ashes of the old. Maybe this new Targonian Aspect just wants to speed up progress so that humans can fight without any outside forces helping them/controlling them? Which in itself would be contradictory since he's influencing the natural progress of mankind.
Could be, we still don't know their intentions. As of right now, he could be some robbie rotten chaotic evil type dude, or a celestial who had good intentions, but severely misjudged us, or underestimated or sheer stupidity.
bard is so interesting to me. for the longest time he had no lore, he has kind of a weird design, he had a borderline experimental trailer that didnt explain jack or shit and he doesnt even have a voice or voicelines for that matter, just beautiful music. and yet, we all love this celestial puff.
Swain has a quote on Aur Sol , that hints a sibling for Aur, maybe that will be the new villan , even aur said in his story that the knowledge used to forge the crown that binds him belongs to someone else with power similar to him
@@cressnaar I don't think Zoe is anywhere near the same power as Sol, though I could be wrong by that I don't think we've seen the full extent of their power. Sure Sol is the only one who can close Void Rifts and killed Pantheon's host at the time while doing so, but we don't know yet if that's the most he can do. In Sol's lore it says that once he breaks free of the crown's control he'll unleash his wrath on Runeterra possibly meaning he'll use the full extent of his power but that probably won't happen in the "great conflict" that Bard and Zilean have foreseen. In the Darkin story "Twilight of The Gods" (Spoilers ahead, I recommend you either read or watch Necrit's video about the story before you continue) Myisha who was the Aspect of Twilight at the time helped an ascended named Ta'anari kill other ascended with the Chalicar empowered by the moon or something. Although Myisha only taught Ta'anari how to do this she probably could've done it herself. Although this is only the most powerful we've seen the Aspect of Twilight be (that I know of at least) this probably isn't the full extent of their power either, I mean the Aspects created the Ascended to fight against the Void and it's not too surprising that what they make they can also unmake for beings as powerful as them.
Sol also mentions terrible entities being in the cosmos and tells us to pray that they never find our world. It makes me think of the dark star skin line.
@@reyalfa18 I just read the new Zoe lore and it is interesting I have to admit and shows us how different time works in the Celestial Realm where presumably Zoe was during that year which was actually centuries to Runeterra. Although I'm kind of confused with the Reality Manipulation power, like do you mean the Aspect can just make things out of thin air? like how it tested Zoe with the six objects.
Gragas has more than poor cho and kog maw .The story of cho is that he can grow by eating other creatures that it like one sentence and kog does he even have a bio

Imagine a celestial who, just like the dark cosmic beings, is corrupted in a way, but not by the Dark Star, rather the void. With the plan being to scatter the world runes around runeterra so the void could find them and assimilate them. Since in order to defeat such great beings as the celestials and Aurelion Sol (who has in fact fought the void), the watchers would require power similar to theirs. And what better way to do so, than corrupting the mind of the enemy and turn their own people against them.
With themes like this and the Darkin, it should/could make some future reworks interesting.. Champion x lore updates to them coming across said mcguffin, altering them to the new reworked state, be it Darkin or cosmic corruption.
@@dterror3679 darkins like Aatrox, Rhaast and Varus are lesser "godlike" beings that were driven into madness by all the years of fighting the void which in the end turned them to what they are, mentally and emotionally i mean, not physically. So it would be more reasonable and badass to get an actual God who had the same fate as the darkin. I wish they do something like this.

Death realm is part of the spirit realm. There are only 4 realms in total in the league main Universe: The Celestial Realm, The Material Realm, The Spirit Realm, and The Void.
ryze's whole thing is locking up the world runes so that they can't be used to hurt anyone, whitch is basically the same thing that Bard is doing so ryze would probably give up the scroll willingly.
@@lak2072 But would Ryze understand bard's motives enough to let him have it? I can imagine a fun animation where bard tries to take the scroll and Ryze has to think of clever ways to keep it from him and it ends probably without the scroll leaving Ryze because it's his whole schtick you know?

@@christopherdelorme7040 in Yuumi's lore her master goes missing and a page is torn out of her book. She goes through the other pages to try and find her old master. I just had the thought that maybe "lost chapter" is the missing page but I can't confirm untill king Necrit confirms it.

demons aren't really a threat to runeterra, i mean, they're just trying to survive, and their main source of food seems to be us. They're just spirits that just so happen to like killing humans for whatever reason.

Fiddlesticks and bard are very similar, they both we're born in the beginning of times, and both don't have a actually body, using Things they found to create it.

1:40 does this mean that bard is an entity that was created at the dawn of the universe just like aurelion sol or would it be possible that bard is something that existed even before the universe like the watchers?
i believe in the lore, all of the celestial beings that we know of so far were incorporeal except for aurelion sol , none of them existed in the material world at all per say but then when asol started making stars (we dont even know where asol came from) then they could adopt a material form and existence, bards material form is just some old bags trinkets and cloth which is why when he dies, he deflates

I like how Bard, similar to Fiddlesticks, just makes a body out of random stuff he found. Other Celestials and demons can manifest in hosts or create their own bodies, but these two are just like “eh, screw it, I’ll just make a VAGUELY person-like doll and use that.”
probably, but since Ryze almost never uses the world runes, since he fears that he might be corrupted by their power some day, like brand, and bard needs to hear the world runes's frequency to actually locate them. So unless Ryze finds something worth using the World Runes on (cough cough VOID cough cough) they probably wouldn't meet. Also yes. The death realm is located in the spirit realm much like bandle city.

@@omnizoom well, the spirit realm doesn't just affect Ionia, it just just so happens that it is the most affected since it's called "the first lands" so of course it would be more intertwined with the magic of runeterra. That's why spirits or demons like fiddlesticks, kindred, and raum, all inhabit places around the world, it's just its more accessible there since ionia is so connected to the magic of runeterra. Also, Mordekaiser didn't MAKE the death realm, he just has dominion over it. In the lore, he was sent there after he died, and there he wandered around as a spirit until he faded into nothingness. Then he just up and decided to learn the secrets of the place like it's language, and more importantly, its magic, which let him take control of the realm. But, if a higher spirit were to step in, he could be stopped.
maybe the world runes were dropped on Runeterra by Taric, who was trying to find what he was the aspect of by doing random things and seeing if something clicked.
Bart's Mountain, wasn't it in Targon (for cinematics)? I really don't think there's anything talking about Noxus invading Targon (or I don't remember), and even for those clothes, I believed it was in Targon, because of the Art by Aurelion Sol, that he is in the middle of the 3 Mountains that he has in the Cinematics , thought that Stone, she even one of which had control over Aurelion ...
@Plague Doctor yeah and neither was his master. And ryze has had the magic seeping into him, physically transforming him. He might not want humans to have the runes, but maybe taking them off world will take away his power
@@mattezuka1274 than the whole point of the animation 'call of power' will be useless if he loses himself to the power.(he can resist that call and he already seen what fraction of it can do) he is already one of the most powerful mages alive without the runes, so i'm not sure what do you mean by "taking them off world will take away his power" ... and another thing is that those runes engraved on his body like tattoos hold power too, and his 'mutation' from the world runes is not something that you can just 'remove'
@@Wolfyyy pretty sure one of his stories pretty much said their power has seeped into him, so he's been given some of their power. Maybe if bard takes them back, it'll take that power too. Maybe ryze will be tempted to use them when the void attacks again or when Swain/demon boi decide to unleash their master plan.
I think that the idea of a celestial needing to be good/benevolent is a red herring. For example consider Pantheon aka The Aspect of War, an aspect that is known to relish in bloody and "glorious" battles. Here's an idea: Runterra is being used by the clestials as a play ground. A place to satisft their desires in whatever events they relish the most. Soraka seems to be the only exception to the rule but otherwise every other celestial is using the humans for something. So it's not quite out of the realm of possibility that there is/was a celestial that relished in chaos and/or destruction that brought the world runes onto runeterra, perhaps the other celestials did not want him/her to spoil their fun so they locked him up or something worse.
There's been this mention of a big war thing on multiple realms for a while now. I'm thinking that it probably has to do with Fiddlesticks, since we're getting all this build up to demons and stuff. Also, since Fiddle is in Demacia, and now apparently Zoe is too, and Zoe is on Runeterra to herald a cosmic change, and a war with demons (which would be fought on multiple realms, since demons are from the spirit realm) seems pretty cosmic, I think it lines up. Or I at least want it to be confirmed and canonized that Zoe's key is from Fiddle
Gragas new lore: A drunken man who travels around in Freljord and fighting with everybody and everything, so in the end he lands in the south of Freljord, meeting Sylas, who persuaded Gragas to help him. So Sylas is attacking the demacian Post in the north again (Warrior 2020), but just a few moments before the Demacians seem to win again, Gragas is ramming in and Sylas and the Freljords winning the battle. But Gragas is travelling further into the east, meeting a screaming, loud squirrel riding on a lizard. Some people telling, that they're still fithing over a property.
Maybe it's probably one of Asols siblings Inviolus Vox or something like that. I think she's mentioned in LoR. Maybe that's the heavy tank support later this yearx
When I first saw the bard cinematic I always thought that the artifact the man was carrrying was an egg that Aurelian sol hatch’s from after he was enslaved or something. Imagine how cool that would be
Bard's lore reminds me a lot of the Lord of the Rings lore. In the LoTR universe, Tolkien wrote that at the beginning of time there was nothing except Eru (God) then he created the Valar and Maia (gods and angels) Eru ordered them to sing a song in harmony, with this song, all the things that are in the universe started existing, but there was a single Vala (god) named Melkor who was out of harmony, de synchronized, he was singing his own song a messing up the harmony of the universe. In the end, this Vala became Morgoth the enemy of the world, founder of all evil deeds of the universe. I can really see some Tolkien mythology into bard's lore and I can see the new villain being inspired by Morgoth
I just noticed something with artifact in the cinematic. It looks very much like Yuumi’s shield and the stone inside the cover of “Book”. I dont know if this has been talked about before somewhere. But perhaps this artifact and maybe Bard are connected to Yuumi’s story. It could have something to do with her owner or it could explain why Yuumi isn’t a normal cat or the power of her book. Just assumptions tho. It could also just be a coincidence but they do look very much alike.
I could see riot doing some type of event with something celestial. Just like they did with Yone, added new lore info then made an event to release a champ.
Wrote it before and gonna write it again- aurelions lore got changed as well. Besides of being terrible for aurelion himself, the new lore changes the origins of the aspects and targon prime. I would guess that the headchief of the aspects was fiddeling about with runeterra, dropping the world runes or even creating the planet in the first place, since aurelion had no knowledge of runeterra beeing where it is.
It would be really cool if they created the Aspect of Entropy (change and destruction made manifest) He would be working inciting the void to bring entropic death and stillness to the universe.
Woah woah woah! Years ago on Reddit i read a theory when bard was released and people were trying to make sense of the animation: Bard Mountain was the place where people would take artifacts so that Bard would protect them. It kinda fits with this new lore. Wonder if devs took inspiration from there or was an extremely lucky guess.
I haven't kept up with much of the lore recently, but when Swain steals a sould shard from Aurelion Sol, he mentions "two brothers". Could we have a situation in League's lore where Aurelion Sol brings life with his stars and this new villain (presumably his brother) tries to destroy it with the world runes?
