Hi Del, I get that you are doing a bare bones Busa but i think a GSXR 750 dash from the 98 ish era would have looked good. My one and only street fighter was a GSX 600 teapot and the GSXR race dash looked superb, probably the best bit of the build looking back. You have probably guessed I am more of a traditionalist with my bikes, that said i do enjoy seeing the fabrication work being done.

Nicely done, Del. Good idea to make it small and just plain and useful. Hope you both are doing well. Mother-in-law’s birthday today so she gets an extra carrot in the feedbag and if she behaves we’ll let her use the indoor washroom as a special treat. 😎 Take good care of each other! 🏍👍🏍

Brillitant Idea, just one question: Is using GPS only tachimeters even legal? I do not know the British MOT system but my guess is that in other parts of Europe (at least) this wouldn't fly. Here in CH I would at least doubt it they would probably question how do you know your speed in a tunnel or other spots without GPS signal? Also I would add some connection to the bikes electrical system so I do not need to worry about the battery failing mid ride.

@@Moonfleet41 yep agreed. I had a fine chap once give an uncalled for opinion on a build video that I made basically telling me what I did was crap and so forth. Surprisingly he had not a single bit of content on his channel for me to check out his level of expertise so I politely replied saying that we’re all entitled to an opinion and asked if he’s ever done a build. He said no never had done a build or restoration but his family used to be in some sort of bike trade so that must be were the expert opinion came from.

Loved watching that one! It came together well Del! Like others have said, drainage holes would be advantageous but it looks slick and smooth! Nice job mate!

Looking as good as ever, Del! I swear watching you is like getting a masters class...like the Legend, I do not want this build to end, but I am really eager to see how it all comes together!

Cool job looks real good!! Of course we both agree it would have looked even better set a bit lower in and as others have said drain holes will be a good idea too! Keep on with the excellent and inspirational work Del, as well as the excellent recovery!! God bless!! :)

Yeah, i would have loved to hide it totally behind the cover.. but then i couldn't get the key in... so compromise aye.. and ill make a hole to poke a USB lead in the bottom right corner.. it'll drain just fine through there if ever it get's that much water in it..!
