Man. Finally a video that explains it better than the manufacturer does. I just ordered their tuner for my 18 Griz With their airbox filter and lid and tip. Doing exhaust soon too. Can’t wait to get it
I have a 500 KQ . Great machine. Machined the clutch made a world of difference. I just wish it had the velocity programmer like the 750 does. Great video!
Yea I wouldn’t want to own one bc I’d kill my self 😂 but one day ima ride one of them puppies and I’m gonna love it, love the videos man just subbed propably about a month or so ago I’m sure you’ve said in a video b4 but I just tooned in, if ya don’t mind me asking where ya from?
I went with the quiet version HMF Titan w Optimizer tuner. My '19 Grizz is mainly used for trails...on public land. Gains are more low to mid with the backpressure provided by the quiet system. The gains on the loud systems are more in the high rpm range, where I don't need them, and that loud sound would get old pretty quick, especially if Mr. ranger puts a DB meter on it-then writes a noise violation ticket...the minor gain increase you get with the louder systems are not worth it over the quiet option, for my use.
I know you seem like a quad guy, but I think you should get a dirtbike maybe like a older one like a cr or kx 500 2 stroke, and have that thing built. and do videos about that, or have an insane 450
Don't know if your gonna use your grizzly for work or not, but I have a polar 1500 trailer that I pull with my grizzly 700. Very nice and durable trailer for the price, highly recommend. I load mine down with firewood and the grizzly pulls it like it's not even back there depending on the lay out of the land.
@@banshee100 Yes they are. Knock on wood the only thing I had to replace/repair on my 2011 grizz was a battery and a rear axle boot. What do you think of that engine braking on yours? I would say the best on the market for quads in the same class. I have pulled that trailer loaded with wood down some fairly steep hills in low range 4wd and that grizz will crawl down it at 3mph without touching the brakes. I think you made a great choice getting your grizz. Take er easy and keep up the great videos.
I just got a 2019 kodiak 700. Black one. The grizzlies must have a lower gear ratio and I imagine they would have to win the bigger tires. But stock I’ve twisted her out many times to a max of 65 and 62 is pretty easy. . I would like to get a little bit bigger tires at some point and have thought about exhaust. It really won’t pull any wheelies in high unless coming up over a bump or out of a ditch caught me off guard. Thought it would do a better job keeping up with my brothers can am commander 1000 but I get walked on bad. Thanks for the video
They both have exa6 the same ratio. Only difference is the Kodiak has heavier roller weights, 30gm vs 18gm. This allows the Kodiak to stay in a lower "gear" longer for utility work. The grizzly rpm ramp up fast with the light weights giving that sporty takeoff.
Hey I was just curious if you had to drill holes in the bottom of your storage compartment to put the tuner in there? And if your opinion has changed since your other videos were you did not like the grizzly so much?
Can I do this to my 2007 grizzly 700? Other than using the Lexi tuner snd installing the pipe is there other things I would need to consider doing ? I’m in a wheel chair and like to ride recreationally but don’t want to compromise reliability on my quad . Thanks for the video
Can you make a video showing the tuner up close with the lights please! There is not a lot of good videos on how to use this and tune. I just ordered one for my 18 GRiZ. Directions are Very confusing. Thanks-
Had a tuner in my 660 pretty sure it hurt it more then anything did something weird with the gear indicator lights made them not light up on the dash and it idle really weird just a thump thump thump took it off eventually looked at the valves all the stems were pitted exhaust side thinking detonation somehow
I cant wait to get a exhaust on my 2019 raptor 700r se so they run cooler with exhaust and tuner right since they run lean from factory and what exhaust systems do you like. And good job on the video I liked it
@@everythingloud4068 I've been craving a bakers singe with a fuel customs intake and pc5. Not sure how i feel about the +timing model, but a big 3 would make it RIP on the top end! Ive seen all the dyno graphs after a big 3 vs stock and am completely convinced to say the least lol
Just got a 2019 grizzly yamaha 700 as well i love it and saw this video .do you feel like this will effect the yamaha legendary reliability? Has this effected the reliability of your yamaha?
Hellcat channel Don't go with lighter weights unless you are going with bigger tires and also a Hunterworks shelve will make it fill like it has lighter weights because you are starting out in a lower gearing with higher rpm's .
Is it very hard to install the tuner? I just got the 21 eps xtr. And do you have to give it full throttle to wheelie like that? Thanks for the input. Love your videos.
Better keep a check on that crappy stock air filter man if I was you I'd go ahead and upgrade to a e h s positive clamp air box because they do let Dust in the motor mind did my first ride and Yamaha could care less about it
Could you make a video showing the controller and all the settings I could not see the lights on the controller maybe at night would be better but this video is very helpful...
Just got a 2017 Grizz 700 and ready all this talk about ehs due to overheating, is this really necessary or just an added feature to increase performance?
I have the 2019 with snorkels and rad relocate and cant get it to wheelie for squat... Very bummed my 2012 Grizzly 700 walked no problem shoot my wifes Polaris sportsman 400 HO walked better... I am wondering if its the snorkel not giving it enough air.
@@banshee100 I found them but it looks like they're just for grizzlies and dinner others. I'd like to find something for my king quad. The lighter rollers you suggested made a hell of a difference along with the 2mm shim.. it's running so much better. Still losing some power at higher elevations though. I don't think I can jet it as it's fuel injected..
@@stephenfrancis182 That's exactly what i need. Any suggestions where i can get a good one for a Suzuki King quad? I'm tired of the bogging at high altitude. The shim kit and lighter rollers made a huge difference but i want my throttle response back. Please help
@@banshee100 yes sorry I've done the tuner and ais delete. The tuner alone stopped a couple big backfires I would get when going harder on trails and the ais delete stopped the almost constant sputtering I got on deceleration Airbox mod comes in next week :)
Dude , low fifties isn’t factory speed . My 2018 kodiak 450 hits 56mph right now from factory. My buddies 700 hits 66mph consistently from factory. With just a simple clutch spacer on the 700 will make her rip from start and hit 59mph ..
@@susdad come on man read between the lines the factory top speed of a Grizzly 700 is 63 miles an hour in the given distance that I ran it in the video Hit only ran the set amount do you understand that
Hellcat channel you’re basically saying the same thing as me now. I’m clarifying that the 700 goes faster than what your video made it sound like. Do you understand? 👍🏼
Wow it's slow I would have thought it would be faster I have a old Polaris 400 and it goes 62 mph my new can am 570 st goes 72 mph I really would like a grizzly but I think I'll wait for the 850 or 1000 Grizzly if they ever build one I wish
He's not hitting top speed, should hit 64 to 67mph on the grizz and Kodiak 700. You will never see an 850 or 1000 grizz. Yamaha prides on reliable machines and you can't have all that power and reliability both with an ATV. Parts break. Look at can-am and Polaris... Not reliable in the big bikes. Need to go to a sxs with bigger stronger parts
