BARKLY HOMESTEAD IN A CARAVAN [RED CENTRE NEWELL] WITH OUR TWO DOGS 

We have left Darwin in our caravan [Red Centre Newell] with our two dogs and are heading South to the Barkly Highway. From there we will travel to Townsville then head North to Mosman stopping along the way.
The Barkly Homestead is located on the Barkly Highway in Northern Territory halfway between Tenant Creek and Camooweal in QLD. A great place to stay, it has powered sites with water hook up and unpowered sites lots of cabins and modern amenities. A bistro and bar area with a live band playing at the time we were there. It’s well laid out over a large area with plenty of shade. They don’t take bookings for caravans so you need to be there early and you can pick your own spot.
