Barley Khichadi Recipe, Jau ki Khichdi, Barley Recipe for Weight Loss, जौ की खिचड़ी
Ingredients:
(1 cup = 200 ml)
1 cup Raw Barley/ Jau (soak for about 12 hours)
2-3 tbsp Oil/ Tel
1/2 tsp Cumin seeds/ Jeera
1 inch Ginger/ Adrak
1-2 Green Chillies/ Hari Mirch or as per taste
1 medium sized Potato/ Aalu
1 medium sized Carrot/ Gajar
8-10 French beans/ Faras bin
1 medium sized Tomato/ Tamatar
1/4 tsp Turmeric powder/ Haldi
1/2 tsp Red Chilli powder/ Lal Mirch powder or as per taste
1 tsp Cumin-Coriander powder/ Dhaniya Jeera powder
A pinch of Asafoetida/ Hing
Salt to taste/ Namak
Coriander Leaves/ Dhaniya patta
2 to 2.5 cups Water/ Paani or as required
