Haha :) thanks Astor, I've played this game a lot. I need to be honest though, I made mistakes in the desert area. If I somehow got a blessed mirror / magic mapping and didn't make those mistakes in the desert I might of gotten a 20-22 minute run. So I'm quite excited to try for a record sometime.
@@LyciantYT Hey, thanks for replying. I managed to get it last night with warrior vampire. I wasn’t aware the trap door made sound so that helped to find it. Even with the sound it makes I still struggle to find the exit a little
I'm playing on the quality of death Beta. You can find it under the beta options in steam. But I'm not sure these speedruns would be considered viable on speedrun.com a shame as it is.
@@Miscrete Honestly this run was very lucky to be as fast as it was. After watching it back a few times I realized I could potentially have gotten close to a 20 minute run if a few things were done differently and I had gotten slightly luckier.
@@LyciantYT i think you threw them out because earlier in the video you stated "I dont know why i picked up those gauntlets" so you instinctively threw them out, i dont think it would've made much difference though, just noticed that haha
You're probably right. I haven't watched this in a while but I vaguely remember noticing that as well. There were so many mistakes made during this run. I think if I played more optimally and got slightly luckier it could of been a 20-22 minute run instead of the 37 minutes, but I'll get there some day!
This is not a mod. This is the official Quality of Death Beta, you can access it on steam by opting into the beta or download it directly on Epic Games.
For the most part its just how I've always played the game, no real reason behind it, removing random traps will probably make things slightly easier. The minitours however is useful for speedruns. Normally a level has 1 exit leading to the next floor. (not including special floors) But on a minotaur level there will be 2 exits. Giving you twice the chance of finding one quickly!
