So do I, & even my Deceased Father does & because of that, he would call them my Sisters, & my Grandmother & he would call the Barred-Rock Plymouth Roosters, my Grandfather too!
Reminds me of the late Deviled Egg. He was a real angel and a barred rock rooster. Never attacked any of us and he made cooing noises like a pigeon. Eventually he died as a baby hawk got Inyo the run and he protected his girls till the very end. He was a hero.

Hi, do the barred rock hens get loud often? I have 3 bantam old English game hens and they get pretty loud in the afternoon. I live in a residential area with close neighbors. Just got 3 barred rock hens and I'm hoping they're not too noisy.
