Barret and Marlene’s bond is so damned sweet! 😭 He really loves his daughter so much. Also, did anyone else jump out of their skin when the planetology speakers first showed up? I was worried they were Sephiroth clones for a second.

Though its more likely asset reuse, I do have my headcanon that the planetology robes come from Ancient tradition, so Sephiroth (Jenova) clones are wearing the robes similarly out of a kind of malicious insult/memory of the fall of the Ancients.

That was an awesome story, I could hear Barret narrating his own tale, of course they left out many other things as they are spoilers for Rebirth and those who haven't played the OG. It would have been nice to have seen more such as his meeting with Tifa at 7th Heaven, how they got started. Then we could see the meeting with Biggs and Wedge. Maybe even a normal day at 7th heaven and the operations. This could have been probably another 5 - 10 minutes longer but for time's sake this explained his arrival to Midgar.

@@dick8997 Honestly at this point SE should do DLC as backstory and sell DLC season passes until part 3 is released with each character getting some chapters in their backstory. Also they could focus on side stories of important secondary characters such as Evan/Kyrie/Leslie

Check out the traces of two pasts novel. It’s pretty good, and it goes into how Barret meets Tifa and his introduction into Avalanche. Fortunately it’s all canon too!

Holy COSMOS this is sooo adorable and touching! Backstories are everything esp. when you have so many characters where it sometimes feels there's more to outline about their past and Barret and Vincent are topers! Always wanted to know more of their world and perspective esp. these two *.* (Sephy-sama is a monumental joy and honor!! *.*❤🖤😘) Ganbatte Barret-san!!
