Very very lucky. I was born in 2000 but i wish more than anything to be around back then to see all those amazing Seattle bands
@GregGallagher

That is very lucky, I was only 6 years old in 1995 so I wasn’t old enough to have discovered Aic, the Trees, Mad Season, etc. I wish I could have been born a few years earlier but oh well. That’s amazing that you got to see such incredible performers. Let us not forget that we’ve since lost the great Mark Lanegan as well back on 2/22/22. Rest In Peace John B. Saunders, Layne Staley, Kurt Cobain, and now sadly, Mr. Mark Lanegan and the great Taylor Hawkins. You are all and always will be very much missed, gone but never forgotten.

@@RS-ge4dz the story Mark Lanegan tells about Mike Starr towards the end of Sing Backwards & weep is epic and I laughed so hard for about an hour straight. MStarr rocks up at Mark’s apartment having just been let out of jail wearing only a white t-shirt and white boxer shorts with a visible shit stain running right up his back. Mark hadn’t seen him in years and figured out straight away he was getting setup for some shit. Man, Mark’s telling of that story along with everything else on that audiobook is pure gold. We’re so lucky his buddy Anthony (RIP) was able to convince him to write that before his life sadly expired. RIP 🪦 Mark

The Spirit of Seattle lives on \m/ Great stories about life, music, art and how it's all connected...pure rock n roll. Barrett plays on some of my all time favorite records...albums that changed my life and made me completely fall in love with music...actually saved me in pretty dark times in my life...especially Mad Season. Thanks man!!!! Barrett is a great musician...and a good person, very good! He deserves all the respect, success and recognition. Sadly vastly underrated. A shame...really. Like Lanegan he belongs to a small group of people who love real art. Cheers to you \m/

First of all, he was also the drummer for Skin Yard and Mad Season, as well as a studio drummer for many famous artists like Queens of the Stone Age. Secondly, “just the drummer” what do you mean? He just plays the most important instrument of any rock band and excels at it? He is one of the best drummers of the 90s.

My aunt Mima gave me my first rock & roll record,i was about 8, had only a plastic mono record player. The record was "Što bi dao da si na mom mjestu" by the band BIJELO DUGME, they were the biggest r'n'r stars in former Yugoslavia, our LED ZEPPELIN. Their guitarist GORAN BREGOVIĆ became famous doing soundtracks, he even collaborated with IGGY POP on the soundtrack for the film ARIZONA DREAM
