BARRIS!!!! | Star Wars: Tales of the Empire Episodes 4-6 Reaction! 

Lyn is the fourth sister, a background character in Kenobi who was with the fifth brother and grand inquisitor

I absolutely love that the "way out" (both physically and symbolically) was to reject hatred and embrace compassion. Like, that is PEAK star wars right there.

I'm going to be honest, I never noticed the gem on Ahmar's chin. When the Grand Inquisitor tossed it, for some reason, I thought it was a Khyber crystal.

The line "I'm going to get you out of here" as well as the uplifting music, suggest to me that Barriss is alive.

"What kinda accident was this?" An imperial accident Emme, which are frequently BRUTAL

Reva and Sabine survived impalement, so why can't Barriss? More importantly, if Barriss were dead, would Lyn still have said, "I'm going to get you out of here?" I don't think Barriss is dead, but we won't really know until a future story tells us one way or the other. Tales of the Empire was fantastic from start to finish. The animation was top-notch! I can't wait for the next animated series with this level of animation. The series finale for the Bad Batch isn't even a week old yet, and the animation improvement over that is huge! Impressive.

Finally we know the fate of Fourth Sister/Lyn, because it was never shown in movies or series, before this one

Did you know The Grand Inquisidor was one of the jedi temple guards that escorted Barris Offee to Ahsoka's trial after Anakin defeated and captured her to clear Ahsoka's name for a bombing Barriss caused? You may don't recognized him because all the guards wore the mask and uniform

You can tell Barris and Ahsoka both came up in the same 'generation" of Jedi for one simple fact. They're even more badass unarmed than they are armed. Think about it. Ash vs. the "smoke" inquisitor in tales? Ash vs. Ani in the world between worlds? Let's face it "Big Dog" was kicking Ahsoka's teeth in right up until he disarmed her. Barris here against the grand inquisitor, in the ring, and then making a mockery of Lyn in the final episode? Same thing. Both are so dangerous without a weapon, you'd think they were trained by The Doctor. "We had a saying in the Time War. The first thing you notice about The Doctor is he's unarmed. For many, it's also the last."

In Legends Barriss is a Jedi healer during the Clone Wars, which is partly why she turned to the dark side because she suffered the horrors of war in worst way possible

In e6 the friend to whom Barriss was referring to by saying SHE will know what to do…is Ahsoka.

Bariss was following the Jedi old tradition of yeeting dark siders from great heights. 😂 Seriously her three episodes were amazing. Story, fighting choreography and the character development for her and Lyn. Now i just hope she didn't actually died sacrificing herself to bring Lyn back to the light. C'mom writers, Obi didn't need to die to show Reva another way. Don't kill Bariss off like that. Knowing that she is likely working with the Hidden Path the possibilities of seeing Bariss and Lyn finding Ahsoka, Cal, Merrin and Greez are there. So long as she is still alive, which i think she is with how open the ending was.

I’m not sure what to make of the ending, where Barriss is stabbed. Did she die, and why did she need to die if she did? It was almost as if Barriss in becoming a healer (which I loved) was also acting as a sin eater with Lyn?

I never even watched the trailers so I had no idea what to expect, was pleasantly surprised how good the show was and I normally don't watch animation.. only bad thing was how short the episodes was :)

I think Bariss is alive

Could "she" in episode 6 be Ahsoka? Still unknown as of yet... Only guarantee is that is that "She" is DEFINITELY not Barriss's former master, Luminara... Would have been nice, but Luminara is already pretty much, albeit not absolutely, confirmed dead by this time... Ahsoka makes the most sense, but we have no idea who Barriss could know... Former Jedi... One (less then likely) example could be master Shaak Ti, who's death has been questioned in recent years... Far fetched, but possible... Also, Not that much time has passed between episodes 5 and 6... She has been using force heal, in which she transfers her life force into another, which enhances her own aging process each time she does it... Sounds like a power Palpatine would be interested in, doesn't it? Explains why Lyn hadn't aged much as well... Another thing... Notice that Barriss's death was not definitively shown...

I dont think barriss actually dies here. But we wont know until something else comes out for her.

In Clone Wars Barris Helped with the Jedi Temple Bombing Killing Multiple People. Force Choked the Only Person who Knew Barris was Part of it. Ended up looking Like (Barris's Friend Ahsoka Force choked the Woman On Camera) And Killed Clones Helping Ahsoka escape (Ahsoka Thought Anakin Was trying to free her at first) Later Barris Jumps and almost Killed Ashoka Acting as Asajj Ventress . Which ended up being (The reason Barris was in Prison and why Ashoka Left the Jedi) (More Happened But my Point Is Barris Has Killed and Embraced The Dark Side In her Past. So She was a Great Pick in the Grand Inquisitors Eye's ( Barris also Used to Heal Injured Clones when the War First started) So she has a duality Of Character She Could Have Been Pushed into the Dark Side Fully or the Light Side or the Force? it all depended on how it was done!

I reckon Vader should have taken to killing Barris personally - I know Anakin is gone until the love of his son brings him back, but as we saw in Clone Wars Season 7, he was clearly troubled with Ahsoka's perceived "death". If him becoming Barris' new master takes place after that, imagine an episode where he sends Barris on a mission he knows she will not succeed on, so he can justify killing her with a twisted sense of revenge for Ahsoka's initial banishment from the Order. Lyn can still be part of the story - even with her breaking her conditioning with Barris' influence. I just reckon Vader should have been more prominent in Barris' arc in this show. Barris can even die the way Ahsoka was supposed to in Rebels by being impaled after slashing his mask off. As she looks into the eyes of her former friend's mentor turned Jedi killing monster while he literally suspends her in the air after running her through, that can be the final straw for Lyn after Barris is able to lay the seeds of doubt in her head in the second episode. Lyn recovers Barris' body & flees, deciding that aiding in the Inquisitorius' mission has never amounted to fulfilling true order; instead, only spreading more chaos. In terms of Barris' character, her arc remains similar in that she joins the Inquisitors, believing that her initial desire for the Jedi Order to be stopped in their "pursuit of violence" is still just & correct, with her embracing the Dark Side as a necessary evil in her mind. Her witnessing & even partaking in the Inquisitor's pursuit of violence, particularly during Lyn's massacre, is what still unconditions her. When Vader pursues her personally after she deliberately or unintentionally fails in a task he directly ordered her to complete, she realises that she can't escape this path, but making a sacrifice can help Lyn realise the reality of her own situation - she sacrifices herself to save someone else's soul. I don't know... I'm just thinking out loud.

I will be honest. I was more invested in Barris story then Morgan but I thought the tales of yeh empties was a good way to celebrate may the 4th be with you! I am sure people will argue otherwise but I do think barris did end up dying to tie up her story in episode 6. To tie in to her trying to save the other Jedi but seemingly failing, her death got redemption for that Inquisitor Lyn.!full circle I like how Barris isn’t a Jedi but did accept her actions and path was fueled by darkness and anger and her being a healer was her redemption😍 Seemingly episode 6 is after the Obi-Wan series as the 4th sister was still an inquisitor in that series but possibly stopped being one in the finale of episode 6.

I personally liked the beginning of this arc but my god it’s ending to barris was so disappointing and felt like they wasted a great character study to see her get redemption on a switch of a hat without a lot of time to process her decision at least in my opinion.

really hoping they dont drop barris like this, also another gut stab KILL DEATH to the board as lethal

i wonder if people noticed the nonbinary character... the village kid says "they're in the mountain" so you assume there are multiple jedi... but they only find 1 alone, and barriss continues to refer to that jedi as they/them.

Filoni: "I have plans for Barriss" We've been waiting 11 years for this character to return, and she's killed by a chaotic stab. (plus only 3 shorts) That death scene really left many people feeling more disoriented than emotionally touched. Personally, my first reaction was irritation with the writers. It was a very weak death scene but a good summary of Barriss' change. Additionally, sorry but Lyn is a noname. 3 shorts is not enough and we were only interested in her because of Barriss. Now they have brought other characters back to life and are talking about further plans, in such a situation we are talking about selection: one character is favored and the other is not even respected because 3 shorts and death/end. This is a waste of this character's potential. However now I'm starting to seriously wonder if Barriss survived. Let's start with the fact that her story will definitely be continued because they need to show her transformation from a naive and inexperienced teenager to a calm, wise adult woman, and maybe even a master. We also know that she probably met with Ahsoka. In this case, unfortunately, Barriss gets permanent plot armor to episode 6, and that can't be changed. If Barriss survives, that opens the door to many possibilities for both her and Lyn. From further cooperation with Ahsoka, Maybe learning how to become one, with the Force, Padawan and possible appearances in Mandoverce. And to be honest, her survival would make the most sense out of all the characters who were stabbed in this way. She's a very experienced healer; that is her iconic skill.They even showed it. I wouldn't be surprised if she could even use Lyn's Force abilities to heal herself or she was willing to risk her own life to create an impulse in Lyn. Maybe she was a healer too. Let's analyze this situation: - Barriss is stabbed - Lyn panics and does something weird with her hands - Barriss takes her hands and places them on the wound - Barriss then loses consciousness, but Lyn takes her out of the cave We don't see this stab anymore. This is very open ending, just like the CW Season 5 finale. So as a conclusion from my perspective: If this is a continuation (not end/death) and it's meant to be a symbolic final step in her transformation (forgiveness and helping an enemy), then Barriss will definitely become my favorite character. Sorry Ahsoka 😁, If it turns out that she died, it will be a very big disappointment for me due to wasted potential. Let's just hope, we will get an answer and we won't have to wait another 11 years.

Hi Emme, I did already put this on another one of your vids, but can I suggest you watch 1983 fantasy movie Krull starring the lovely Lysette Anthony and Ken Marshall who is easy on the eyes for the ladies😁. It did not do to well in the cinema due to other big films in the same year (Return of the Jedi etc…), but is now considered a classic.
