Sky News Australia pays tribute to comedy legend Barry Humphries, with friends joining Sky News host Rowan Dean to remember a life dedicated to laughter.
My condolences to the family, friends, and fans of Sir Barry Humphries. Keep the angels in stitches as always. Thanks for your laughter, wit, and just being yourself. We remember you. To life. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Barry showed the world one of the great parts of Australian culture ... the ability to laugh at yourself, and the world around you. You'll be sadly missed mate.
A lovely tribute. Very interesting comments about Barry Humphries' contribution to the Australian language. It’s no coincidence that The Times Literary Supplement asked him to review the latest - thousand page - dictionary of Australian slang.

A life lived to the absolute MAXIMUM. Well loved & he will be missed by the Nation & anyone else Sir Les or Dame Edna ever met ❤ I’m 58 & don’t remember a time I wasn’t laughing at Dame Edna growing up. As a kid,Sir Les was grossly disgusting 😂
I first saw him on Jay Leno when I was a teenager and fell in love with his talent. His wit and timing blew the pants off all other comedians. I’m going to plant a bed full of gladys in memory of him. Thanks for all the laughs Barry.
Deepest heartfelt condolences, Australia 💔 Barry was surely a deeply loved Aussi.... his talent - a gift to the world.💝 He will be greatly missed. Dame Edna was my fav character😂 laughter was sure to follow once Dame Edna was on the scene. All of Heaven is laughing now as Barry entertains angels....

Dame Edna wasn't his entire act. Other cross dressers pantomime dames, Dustin Hoffman in Tootsie Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon in Some Like it Hot and any production of Charley's Aunt
@@martinepstein3332 he did it the most though he did it for 68 years from 1955 and up until about 2000 was constantly on Australian and British TV as Dame Edna.
@@dollyrawlins5470 and what a great performer he was. Are you also against pantomime dames, Dustin Hoffman in Tootsie, Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon in Some Like it Hot and any production of Charley's Aunt
I'll assume with confidence there will be a catfight of epic proportions between dopey dean and Monica Murray for the transgenders costumes when they go to auction.. 😾 v 🙀 😆😆😆
