If you have amnesia and a guy you just met looks at you like that and says he knows you, chances are that he's right. I'm really surprised Eobard didn't take Barry seriously.
He was the main villain of Legends of Tomorrow season 2 after he got out of Flashpoint. You could say Tom Cavanagh Thawne was Flash's archenemy, and Matt Lestcher Thawne was Sara Lance's archenemy.
i love how after the "have you met before" they show us a flash back of the reverse flash. Like, after 8 Seasons we'll be like: oh yeah, who's this guy, sounds familiar
@@ajclash6706 you didn’t understand, I said THIS thawne, he didn’t remember being a villain and he helped Barry. Then the other thawne killed this thawne. That’s what i said just didn’t go into too much detail
Sad part is this Eobard is a glimpse of how he was when he idolized the Flash, before he was corrupted by the Negative Speed Force. I wish they would have brought him back in the end so he could have a happy ending.
I dont think Thawne was corrupted by the negative speedforce. Thawne created it. What he was really corrupted by was the realization he was destined to be his heroes greatest enemy. So its sorta Barrys distrusting nature here that makes it like... Yknow Thawne used to be a fan of yours before he was pushed away? Maybe its not so good to recreate the scenarios that created your nemesis?
He should’ve said, Eobard Thawne , But my colleagues call me Professor Zoom. Since he knows a lot about the Speed Force. Would’ve been a great way to introduce his full super- villain name.
I wish they made him the fan boy hes meant to be It would still throw him off Imagine this was how he found out "I would never hurt you barry you're my hero"
In this case he was, the speed force pretty much wiped his memories and dumped him in central city. There he met the female scientist, fell in love, and pretty much helped her build the speed force thing.
@@dumbanimenerd4169he called her by her first name, Mina & she calls him eobard, he knew what he was doing. He’s the only one using Allen in this scene.
@@JayyChildish dude, people use their last name in formal situations and when you don't know someone personally First name is for friends and family, people you have a history with In house md, everyone calls him house, not Gregory, they call the blind guy, chase, not Robert In arrow show, people outside his circle, call him Mr. Queen People call Tony stark, Mr stark Captain America used to call him stark at the start, before they got close and cap called him Tony
@@JetNekko No he didn't, he just learn that The Flash works with the people in Star Labs, but Barry never revealed his identity to him and he never saw his face in season 2
@Caleb Ramos. check your facts lmao. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-heeCl2bzUrQ.html they talked face to face on season 2, identity out.
This scene is the reason why I stopped watching The Flash. Barry Allen literally has gone character arc after character arc dealing with giving hope and redemption to villains and in the next episode, he'll become antagonistic and relearns his humanity again. It's like HE has retrograde amnesia
How can people not know this Reverse-Flash fact? It's like people still not understanding that Savitar is Future Flash's Time Remnant from am alternate 2024, not the Time Remnant who sacrificed himself to stop the Magnetar to destroy the multiverse.
@@myusername3689almost, but yes. What's ironic is that Reverse-Flash's civilian ID was left unknown unlike the original multiverse one as they publicly displayed Eobard Thawne known as Reverse-Flash.
Even after Being a cult marvel fan i would rate thawne 2nd after thanos. He is so perfect as a villian.....masterpiece of writing and character potrayel.
I would imagine in a timeline this happens barry hates thawne like here in the video, but the thawne here isn’t RF yet, some how gain speed and since barry there he stole what thawne wanted to do. And thawne became rf
So at first he doesn’t really know the flash, then doesn’t have the brains to think that maybe Barry knew him before he regained his memory, then apparently knows that Reverse Flash is a murderous speedster.
@@stonalisa3729it's not. He is indeed from the 22nd Century (born in 2151). This is the Remnant who got resurrected after his deaths at the hands of Black Flash and, later, an Android clone of Sara Lance.
This Thawne is a time Remnant from the Flashpoint timeline who became a villain in Legends of Tomorrow instead of becoming Harrison Wells, then returned to redeem himself in a later season of that show.
@@myusername3689 Now, you're more far ahead, pal. I looked through the fandom page of Thawne, and he's born in 2151. By his age to when he encountered the Future Flash for the first time, the year was already probably the 2200s.
Well, considering that Reverse-Flash officially made his entrance in CCPD in 8x05, no wonder everyone knows that Reverse-Flash is a murderous speedster. Plus, people ain't stupid : Flash got a red suit with yellow lightnings, Reverse-Flash got a yellow suit with red lightnings so I can only guess that's how they know him only as Reverse-Flash.
THIS IS SO STUPID!!!! Tom being RF after season 1, as AMAZING as he is in that role, MADE. NO. SENSE. It always should have been Matt after. He was so fucking good. This is an incredibly pathetic attempt to explain that away. Boo!
This is not the OG Thawne!!! This Thawne is the sort of time remanent from the Reverse Flashpoint just like Savitar was from the Flashpoint!!! It’s the perfect irony that the show managed to recreate!!! Both the Flashpoints created the opposites of the og flashpoints creators!! Flashpoint created Savitar!! Reverse Flashpoint sort of created Good Thawne!!! I know i know this is the Thawne that died in latest season of Legends of Tomorrow, but the irony is chef’s kiss!!!
Almost. This Thawne is the remnant one who sought the Spear of Destiny, got erased by Black Flash but was later resurrected as the guardian of the Archduke Franz Ferdinand's assassination, which is a fixed point. Yes, the same remnant who was present from Flashpoint, who remembered everything his original self (disguised as Harrison Wells and made the Reverse-Flashpoint) until his erasure. The only irony is that Flashpoint issued 2 facts : Savitar was an evil remnant of the Future Flash and this Eobard Thawne is the redeemed remnant of his original self as Reverse-Flash.
He doesn't... because that's the remnant version from Flashpoint. In short, after S3, Thawne's remnant sought to nullify his nonexistence by obtaining the Spear of Destiny, but Black Flash caught him and vaporized him. Then, the Speed Force brought him back powerless as a guardian of a fixed point in 1914, which he stayed loyal to his death (an android Sara Lance stabbed him). The following? That's this episode, which explains why and how Thawne's remnant was brought back, in parallel to what happened to Thawne in Armageddon.
How stupid is that. He admits that he has memory lapses and the person firmly states who he is and he immediately denies this and does not try to take it seriously. Eric Wallace ruined this show.
I forgot that Thawne was his adversary in 2040-2060… and didn’t do the comic book origin where Thawne was born like 100 years later, figured out how to gain speedster powers and then met his dead idol, only to be told “go home Buddy.” Was about to ask how this was the original… kind of hate that they used “reverse force is evil” for the reason Thawne became Barry’s nemesis… made no sense, since Barry has used his speed force for his own gain regularly. Savitar used the speed force… I’ll watch the last season and hope that the ending is Barry hugging Thawne and telling him everything is going to be okay… but this Flash was written too cold and too “sees the world in black and white” for it to happen.
This isnt the original thawne from the future, this is the one that was resurrected in legends of tommorow thats why he has amnesia. The future thawne is still the one that came from 2040-60
2040 - 2060? What are you guys talking about? The CW version of Eobard Thawne is from 2151, to say the 22nd Century, as stated by Thawne himself in 1x23, while his comic's counterpart is from 2451, to say the 25th Century. I think you're referring to the fact when he was imprisoned from 2034 to 2049 in the 5th season.
This is the Time Remnant of Eobard Thawne, the one you see in 3x01 and S2 Legends of Tomorrow. He was vaporized by Black Flash and resurrected by the Speed Force as the Guardian of a fixed point in 1914. But then in the 7th season of Legends of Tomorrow, he got killed by an android clone of Sara Lance who stabbed him and he died again. Afterwards, the Speed Force rewarded his efforts of protecting the timeline by resurrecting Eobard powerless, but amnesiac, though still retaining his excellent intellect. That's why the Remnant who's still in his original body is here.
@@byonemesis "Afterwards, the Speed Force rewarded his efforts of protecting the timeline by resurrecting Eobard powerless, but amnesiac" Where that said ? When i watched, i just thought that its just another version, not original.
@@Gat_Play You need to watch near the end of the episode. I could also tell you, but I fear you don't wanna get spoiled so I might let you watch the episode to understand it further.
@@Gat_Play After freeing Meena Dhawan/Fast Track from the Negative Speed Force, Ray Palmer sent a message to answer Team Flash as to how Thawne's Remnant survived since he died at the hands of Black Flash and he explained the same I did to you : the Time Wraiths (and by extension, the Speed Force) resurrected him as a Guardian of the fixed point in 1914 but died afterwards. The messaged stopped and Team Flash deduced that the Speed Force resurrected Thawne a second time without his powers and as amnesiac yet redeemed scientist as a reward for his post and protecting the timeline.
it's the Flashpoint Thawne. The One that fought the Legends in s2 and brought back in s7 with no Speed. Then he died again After helping the Legends and he ended up here in flash s8 with no Speed and Memory
