Barstool Pizza Review - Casa Pizzeria (Ludlow, MA) 

I love the idea that u could go there and get a pizza from different areas and versions from the US at one spot. Dave bumping up the score out of mad respect. Everyone knows the rules!

"7.9" after seeing the sign 🤣

I discovered One Bite about four weeks ago. Now I've eaten pizza 14 times in two weeks, and watched 800 episodes while neglecting my job. Thanks Dave.

The owner is such a nice and genuine guy. I wish his pizza got an 8+. You can just feel the positivity and kindness in his presence.

Dave kept in mind they claimed to have regional pies. If that would have been their only style pie, we’d see an 8.1-8.3. I do think he’s giving places the beans on this run though. Splittin hairs Davey.

It’s nice to see a family business like this with a owner with such passion for “the pizza business.” They are willing to try new things and the pizza looked awesome. Really nice, clean, and well run joint. I wish we had independent pizza shops around where I live. Not nearly enough.

Looked real good to me - love corn meal on the bottom - to me that pie deserved in the 8's -- Dave's scoring has been all over the place lately - giving to high a score to lousy looking pizzas and not high enough to a pie that looks like this

Aw that’s soo cool, father and son pizza spot. I’m super jelly! Then when the son asked if they got a good score or not almost made me cry for some reason.. I’m glad they got a “decent” score. I think he should of gone at least 8.1-8.2.

This is my local favorite and for sure the best one in the area! Def deserves a 8.1 with how many styles they have and every style has crisp!

I went here Saturday night and went to Red Rose on Sunday, and let me tell you... Dave boned this place something terrible! I got their New Haven (and a Detroit), but cooked well, and they were both out of this world! The New Haven should have scored between 8.8-9.2 from Dave, and this is coming from someone with over 200 Reviews on the One Bite app, and I've been to 8 of the places Dave Scored in the 9's. This compares to all of them without question.

What Dave does for small businesses is amazing I just wanna say that

Lud-low. The simplest town name ever. Casa Pizza is closed in July and August and only open 4 hours a day. They still won best pizza in the state of Massachusetts. So good. The owner is super friendly.

Did he just go from 7.7 to 7.9? That pizza look great. Definitely would've gotten an 8 something from me. But I totally agree with Prez: you can't be offering every type of crust. Just one. Or maybe two.

Excellent looking pie. I like the sauce going right do the edge and the basil on top.

I’m familiar with Ludlow Mass and dude you say Ludlow wicked funny. Milanos of Chicopee is my top choice but I never had much pizza from Ludlow. I’m a fan of Greek style pizza personally

I think that cornmeal thing is a western MASS thing, lived there several years in the early 80's (from NY) and that fn cornmeal was EVERYWHERE!!! Got used to it to fulfill my pizza jones, but never really understood it...

Yeah I agree with Dave. I've had plenty of places that look and should be in the 8s but they stay in the high 7s. I love garlic and parm but a plain pie should let you taste everything. Garlic and parm tend to mask other flavors

to me there's nothing wrong with having a bunch of crust types, it's still pizza at the end of the day if a pizza place close to me offered all types of different crust types I'd be all for it, I hate having to travel for when I'm looking for a specific type of pizza

i understand why these changed -- and i respect Dave's role w/ small businesses during COVID and how that's evolved into a broader ambassador for small businesses but i do miss the savage who'd crush people to their faces lol

Nice! You should go to a place called Denly Gardens in Weymouth, MA. It’s where my dad grew up and the pizza is fantastic! It’s thin crust pizza and the restaurant on the inside is very old fashioned style.

I would absolutely love a pizza place that specializes in making all the kinds of pies there are, this place is heaven. perfect pizza, perfect restaurant 8.4. Everybody knows the wules.

I came here to watch this, but totally did not think you would be anything but a Fluff Review, the owner seemed extremely nice, AND I loved that you called them out on the Pizza, Totally Felt you were Honest, and thought, after seeing this, I would definately go out of my way to make a trip, loved seeing the different styles, I do not like someone calling something a special Pizza, then adding to it their own either, you saying the Pizza was still Good, made up my mind to try it, the Owner saying they like to do what the customer wants, also made me feel good about the place, excellent Review ( I am from 3 blocks from Revere Beach, I grew up on Dozens of Pizza Places, some of the greatest and some, just made to make a buck ) I almost never trust Opinions, but, your honest Review, made me say, Yeah, this I will try

To anyone wondering why he gives good looking pies a low score. Its not because they arent good pizza's, they simply arent his "style". So when they add stuff to it, especially parm, he lowers the score. Its not based on the quality of the pizza. Just simply on whether Davey boy likes it.

I think having that many options is a sign of versatility and talent. I bet the locals that don't travel love the options of how pizza may taste from other areas. Definitely 8.1

Ludlow is a decent little town comprised of mostly Portuguese and Polish people.

Dave has given out so many 7.9's in the last two months that I don't even really acknowledge any of his scores anymore. Probably time to take a break.

Dave, Springfield has Family Pizzeria Europa. Only pizza that really matches well with New Haven. I've been and tried them all.
