I worked at a gas station were I would often be transferred from store to store mid-shift. (There were 4 in the small town) it was a crappy job and I often had to cut off drunk patrons. The only thing I enjoyed was the fact that the drunks I cut off often came into the next store and were terribly confused to see me again, standing there shaking my head. I think the confusion made a few reconsider their life choices. Also, the number of people that get a cup of coffee and wait till 7am (when we start selling liquor) and buy a shot of hard liquor to put in their coffee would shock you.

Not a bartender. St. Patrick’s Day this year. I ran into a friend I hadn’t seen in a while. He had been partying all day so he was already three sheets to the wind. I was chatting with him for a bit and eventually I noticed the kilt had been wearing was now on the floor. Thankfully, he wasn’t wearing it traditionally… until the boxers quickly met the same fate. Next thing I knew, I was ushering him to the restroom to get the kilt back on before the staff noticed and kicked him out. He still tried walking out of the restroom without them.

I had a guy who told me he had to leave by 10pm because he has this big presentation at work in the morning. 10 pm I tell him to go but he wants to stay. His next deadline is 12 am. At 12 am he is really feeling it and I try to get him to leave. At 2am he calls his boss and calls of for work, he tells his boss exactly what he thinks of him. I am trying to grab his phone to hang it up. At 2:30 I am closing and trying to get him out of my bar. He starts talking about his big presentation in the morning. I tell him he called his boss and told him off, the presentation is off. He starts saying I called his boss because it is on his log. I get things cleaned up and tell him he has to go. He starts saying he needs to go to work soon. I put a note in his pocket about his phone call and tell him to get some sleep. Never saw him again.

Someone tried to say lab grown diamonds are different than natural mined diamonds. They are the exact same crystalline carbon, inclusions and all. The lab ones have a few less inclusions. But two diamonds, one natural and one manufactured that are are selected to be the same grade will be the exact same chemical make up and look exactly the same. I guess someone was just fooled by a jewelist. If anything, the diamond with less inclusions, the manufactured one, will be slightly better.
