If anyone needs to here this.... the only MOD I have installed is "Link loot between bases". New base? No materials? Doesn't matter. If you have the materials somewhere else, you can use them at any base. Also, the grabbling guns single greatest use? Travelling when you have 3000 LBS. At my favorite mining base, I would gather 3000LBS, use the grabbing gun to sling myself massive distances - between nodes, and back to the storage area.

Anyone have problems where they are constantly picking up/dropping materials while standing in place?

as a test build just a big box house like 12X12 and used a gateway as the door to enter so its as big as possible, the pals still don't want to go inside to craft.

You can tab out of the chest while dragging a stack of items out of a box and walk freely while carrying the hole stack of whatever

Grappling hook. Wow. If you use a grappling hook it doesn't matter where you put your boxes. So much easier. Use a mammoth or king paca. Transporting mats is simple if you're smart about it. Put points into weight. Certain pals let you carry more in general.

build upwards. make the walls three high per floor and the opening for stairs also has to be three wide. i use two stairs side by side, but i havent even tested just one. the rule of three is working well for me so far, ive tried one and two high an pathing just goes to shit cause they try to get to the job from under the floor an usually never actually do the work, just sit there. if the stairs opening isnt also three the bigger stuff, like yormantide will get stuck downstairs as well. smaller stuff like anubis an such have no problem with smaller opening though. so if your base only has small short pals in it you can probably build smaller, but who doesnt want a yormantide ignis kicking around the base? -360, 10 is my main base. the enemies here are weak so you could just path there an avoid enemies an build here pretty early. no raids can reach as there arent any roads up an its too high for flyers

Have you tried putting pals at your base that can only mine and not have a stone pit? I've found that harvesting is just a lower priority. I have a base at a metal node with 2 cows, 4 turtles and the rest are transport. The only thing the turtles have to do is mine the metal & coal so that is all they do.

I got penking walking through doorways into a one level ceiling. I think you literally just did the one thing that messes them up by putting them cabinets along the side there. Have all their beds on the second level too and they get there fine

If you don't want a storage container near the Palbox, just make certain you can grapple to it. Works just as nice.

This explains a bit of a problem I was having with my base, I had put down a furnace and two assembly lines on an upper floor but none of my pals were helping

Isn’t this a great game? I’m having a blast with this. I love Pokémon Arceus and the Scarlet DLC was good and a lot for the $30 but considering how trashed the $60 base game was that hardly makes up for it. This was a needed wake up call I hope. And I’ll be happy even if pokemon wakes up, puts all our favs for the last 30 years in a triple A game and puts them out of business cause of how great it is but we know that won’t happen.

I need to move my bases I got one by the oasis right off the hill on spawn, then one literally right to the left off spawn, those pals get stuck off the cliff and I gotta redo them 24/7, 1 more base lvl, I’ll have 3 and we’re redoing this shit lol. Ore base next

A good way to move heavy materials is by using a mount's dash attack or a grappling gun

It's fascinating that pals can't fit into spaces beneath a certain width because I would've expected them to just clip through. It's technically a problem or limit but I do appreciate the detail to not have the superlarge palsjust clip through narrow areas regardless of size, immersion, etc. The gane isn't perfect but it's an attention to detail that I think helps with immersion. Is there a height limit for bases? Is there a limit to how tall you can make a structure before it's considered to be outside of your base? I doubt many people will make skyscrapers but it's good to know the limits.

You need to use the bell to set them to work mode (toggle it on and off) for them to work passively

I find that building 2 wall high rooms fix's 85% of the problems for most pals.

I prefer to put my first base where u put urs as well. Since the fruit tree is right up the hill and a spot where Incineram can spawn under the spot where the fruit tree spawns. With thugs.😂 And god yes... Suzaku is the worst about getting stuck I swear. Have decided I wont use him. Ill just rush the huge eggs. Second base is a breeding base.

think you need lv 2 mining for the pals to mine ore.

Sometimes i build a base and evertime o build something another thing randonly breaks, like i build a chest and a bed brakes far from there

Ok I had my bas there but once the ores where gone they never spawned again so I had to move it again

My pals are stuck in place..they work and eat but won’t move around and just do their tasks from a very far distance and appear to be doing nothing even though they are accomplishing goals. It happened when I moved my pal box over slightly and replaced it on a platform . I’m not sure if it’s the structure that caused this or the fact they are in the same base location. I’ve seen others have their pal box on a platform so I’m unsure what really happened. I know the game is “technically” fine, but it bothers me a lot not seeing them move around.

Has multiple fire Pals running around an entirely WOODEN base ... Welp base is gonna RIP when it gets raided and a stray fireball flies.

My pals are breaking my stone walls 😢 instead of ore

I tried at least 10 different base locations and base style builds suggested from different RU-vidrs. Most had issues like this post. However after testing myself I found that building your primary base on a flat area where you can get the full circumference of the build with no interference from objects or terrain help pets from sticking. I built the base foundation at approximately half height from ground in a simple square within the circle diameter. One wall height around entire square with single entry doors suited to your location. Very basic but works perfectly. Building 2 width stairs behind the Palbox facing where their spawn for next level. Next level is 4 walls high from base level and stairs go straight up no corners walls or bends. Same one wall high and so on if need more space or additional levels with lease activity levels as you go higher. All main growing and pal work on ground level with space around each facility between the outer wall so even the largest pals can walk around an object. Place things grid like from center with space around Palbox. Think squares even for round things like ranches. I also found the game does not like too much differing builds or objects scattered around the map including too many different pals in game at one time. Pull down when your finished in an area. Keep it simple. When you need food just have those pals out and mass produce. Same with ore, sulfur etc. don’t bother building mining bases it’s always faster to mine yourself or with a specific pal when you need it. Use the close box to Palbox method in this vid and overload using grappling hook move technique. Reality is until game issues are fixed if you want a cabin or fancy build do it where you don’t have pals just for aesthetic fun.

You also don’t understand that pals have relative size and yours is filled with large ones and you need a large gate to let them in 🤦

Typical disrespect of player's time, I understand the character's run speed because they want you to use mounts but the stamina drain for gliding? Also they make sure to limit your inventory with a 1 and a half row storage for your first chest. 🙄 I don't like these time sink tricks they play on us. I've played a lot of survival games and realize they love crippling your travel and storage just to make you do grinding.
